- In this video, I show how to connect multiple solar arrays to charge a single battery bank. This method is generally used to charge the batteries more quickly. Please feel like, comment and subscribe.
thank you for your channel. my home is off grid in the high desert of USA . i am on my own, the knowledge you share about so many subjects gives me great confidence MANY BLESSINGS to you & your family!

I really do appreciate your comment. God bless you too. Thanks for watching. Cheers
Would it be easier to just connect all the batteries in parallel then connect one end of the positive to the positive bus bar and opposite end of the battery bank negative end to negative bus bar. That would eliminate excess wiring from each battery to the bus bar. I could be wrong but it seem more logical and economical.
white board will be more easy for you hahaha, thanks for sharing, it was awesome, thank you
Hey, my brother Anthony! thankyou or this! This is exactly what looked for in my search! Once and for all, eh, RUclips has come through for me. Ha! ha! ha!!!? BTW, my wife is from Africa! I heard it in your accent. You're ok! Top drawer! A'ight? Bye for now. Out
Awesome! Glad it helped laugh 😆
Good job
ur a genius, ty!
very cool, i now have another way of doing this connection, i was familiar with the direct connection to the batteries. thanks man!
Q1?. Can PV (solar panels) be various makes, mfg., & Wattage- i.e. 25 watt thunderbolt + 100 watt windy nation to same combination connector?
Q2?. Confirm that each of the controllers should be set at same off/ on voltage, temperature, etc.
Q3?. Is there a limit to the number of solar charging circuits, number of batteries in each battery bank, or number of inverters tied to bus bar?
Q4?. Quick reminder of the 2 types of controllers (mppt vs. ?) and can they be combined in diagram above
Q5?. Can battery types be mixed...
Lead Acid & AGM & Li-ON or various size of same type (lead Acid 100 ah + 60 ah + 75 ah + deep cycle + regular)
Q6?. Recommend bus bar & safety throw configuration.
Thanks
Great.
Thank you
I have a 48 volt system, 120 Volts, 16 battery bank. Can I hook up 2 Victron 5 KW inverters to the same battery bank or do I need to split them? Thanks for any help to my question.
So you have video for multiple batteries, charge controllers to an inverter?
You need a bigger video of you. We can't see you. Haha! Great video!
Can you have two arrays feeding one controller?
you know charge controllers charge batteries in different stages at different voltages( float, absorption and bulk) how the two charger will communicate to supply similar voltages. what if one charger detect the other voltage of the other one and interpreted as the battery is full
What is the benefit of multiple charge controller..
What about if you have two solar charge controller and two different types battery bank say like 2×200amp gel batteries and
2x100 deep sealed lead battiers
can I use this same principle if my controlars are PWM ?
Double MPPTs together with multiple battery banks. Extensible, Flexible, High Efficiency. Cost me RMB6000+. That's good idea.
I surprised toucan draw so well with a mouse.
UncleHank
Thank you :)
Here a one for you .
How do I wire this.
I have 4 x 250w panels 36v
Max charging current is 40amp mppt.
Max PV input is 100v.
I think try to get 2 runs of 2 panels in series
@@rawiridixon4430 .
But only 1 PV input on the inverter.
Not sure if I can splice the two together or if something I'll go boom
250w divide 36v =6.96amp but it will be less.
36 volt circuit X 2 =72
6.96*2=13amp peak
You can buy PV double connectors , can handle 30A
@@rawiridixon4430 thanks mate.
Think that'll be the way I go
@@sproket168 see if you can make a video once she's running 👍👍
The Snake Conjurer...
Not a good idea unless the solar charge controllers are set very similarly. Also, this video could have been 5 minutes long.
Hi, can you do a video on how to connect two inverters to power a load. example is to connect say two 1000W inverters to power a load of say 1600W.
wrong 1 red and 1 black from battery to busbar all red from battery to each other same for black
You forgot about diodes. Unless you want to fry your mppt.
Mike aka Misha
The diodes are in the panels.
DIY OneForAll lol
DIY OneForAll you can not parallel 2 controllers without diodes. Diodes in the panels are different story.
Mike aka Misha
Ok, yes, when two controllers are used, diodes are needed. I made a video on this a few years ago. You can always check my video list. I just got what you referring to. So yes, maybe it was implied somewhere.
Check out an earlier video with the diode explained ruclips.net/video/F9k9d1ERfVs/видео.html
Cheers and thanks for watching.
Video information is helpful BUT way too SLOW. Can give same information in under 5min.
Do NOT draw while talking. Just use drawing you made BEFORE and point and label the parts. You can add additional drawing parts instantly as your explaining continues. You missed the CRITICAL issue of how the charging of the batteries work as BOTH MPPT Solar Charge Controller will do their own things for charging the batteries while you need them to cooperate to satisfy the best batteries charging considerations. Good luck and keep going. Everyone learns from doing.

Thanks for watching and providing the feedback on the video. I appreciate it. Cheers
Just draw it by hand 🖐. Makes no sense to waste so much time and effort drawing with a mouse. I couldn't stand it. I quit watching before the end.

this connection is correct
Wast too much time on playing mouse.. video can finish in under 10 min. Dont like and dont watch
