    1.5 years of owning this and the AC fails every summer. 2 months into owning the unit the high pressure hose failed. Billed $400 plus Freon. Following summer the entire AC condenser failed. Another $700. I was in the shop once in 3 years with a thermo king and the cost was covered. Another few hundred bucks and I’ll be at the price of a brand new thermo king. I must add I bought this unit new and have done ALL maintenance before recommended intervals. Installed 8/21. Summer of 22 and 23 no AC and MULTIPLE coolant leaks. It’s a glorified battery charger. You’d better hope your cab can be cut in half or the AC isn’t near cold enough either. Have 2 other trucks and would never go off brand again. Also in the colder months you need to check and make sure the unit is indeed starting so you know the unit is charging the batteries. 50% of the time it throws a low oil pressure code due to fuel lines (even when fuel is treated). I’ve had the muffler fall off, changed the belts twice, 2 fuel filters, the low and high pressure switches, the high pressure hose, and needed a whole new condenser all in less than 1.6 years on a BRAND NEW UNIT. Financially they’ve helped with exactly $0. Always a warranty excuse even 2 months into a brand new unit. Even the hose that broke 2 months after installation. They couldn’t even throw in the Freon for the inconvenience 😂 Never mind the fact you have to go to the middle of no where to get it worked on and likely includes 150-+ deadhead miles. Pics attached. Should’ve stuck with the appt for a random place in Ohio because these guys here have ZERO integrity. 100 hours on the unit, 2 months in and still a $500 bill fir a $13,000 battery charger. Not even a year after that $700+ for a new condenser. The Mufflers also fallen off more than once due to poor design. Beware and watch the RUclips videos. As you can see nothing but error codes since install. Glorified battery charger. They won’t give you a dime off your bill. You can absolutely tell the paid reviews on this page/place. Just go and talk to the constant amount of guys getting work done for the 4th and 5th time within the first year or two. None of them are happy. This places lack of integrity and has me thinking they know they sell a faulty product and make the majority of their money on constant returns for maintenance. I didn’t buy used and the guys I talked to didn’t either. I have a couple of their numbers and am looking for more. I will do everything I can to get more information on this because if this is true I will take this to the BBB.

    I had a HP 2000 APU and it was the biggest piece of junk I ever had. If you look at dealers for them, you'll notice they have lost about 90% of their dealers. The dealers I was able to make it to before they closed said that they would never get reimbursed before the work they did on the APUs that were supposed to be under warranty. So they quit being distributors for them. I had to go to Marion Illinois three times to have mine worked on and it is supposed to be under warranty and they charged me every time and it did not last any more than 2 weeks then it was broke down again. Please do not waste your money on these units. They make them sound fantastic but they are crap!

      @anthonywaclaw8190 sorry you had that experience. I can only speak for myself and give review on my experiences. I've had zero issues with mine and 1 warranty worthy return trip which was handled professionally..

    I’ve had multiple issues. All with the AC. The AC is only used 2 months out of the year. A year later same problem. I was originally happy with the purchase but trying to find a place to work on them is ridiculous.

      Tripac is ass. I'd get an HP2000 or Green APU before dropping 18k on a Trpac

    How's your Hp2000 holding up looking to install one of my new T680

    • @affordablelawns
      @affordablelawns  Год назад

      I have had zero issues with it as of yet. The 2 minor issues I had, 1 was fixed over the phone with Randy, and the other was a pinhole in the high pressure line for the a/c which was replaced under warranty. Other than that, zero issues and for the money, I think it's a great deal.

      @@affordablelawns is everything contained in the unit right they don't mount nothing on the back of the truck .
      Also how does it produce heat do they use a espar heater or does it run off of the coolant from the APU .

    • @affordablelawns
      @affordablelawns  Год назад

      @Jackknife TV it's all self contained unit. Has its own compressor, produces heat and cooling. Plus warms up coolant in truck for colder days.

      I don't normally comment 9n this unit but it's about time I put up a review... I got mine last year and it's been nothing but a headache... 6 months until I could get it installed.. first day of hookup the unit consistently over heated. This was due to the installation. The tech tied into my sleeper heater instead of the returns on the side of the block. Second problem was a bad ground and was handled under warranty in canton Ohio. Also had an exhaust leak. I'm not sure what this guy in the video is talking about that the ac is ice cold... it barely blows at 70. Second warranty issue the ac compressor went up and was replaced. Same problem ac wasn't keeping up with the truck ac. That has never changed. Was told they fixed the exhaust leak but after getting into it myself figured out it was a lie. The shop crew most of them are cool except for one... the two times I've had to deal with him he's been an absolute tool. I wouldn't recommend spending 13k on this under powered and definitely over rated battery charger. Oh and the warranty is complete garbage... its one year or 2k hours... let's do a little math. To carry the full warranty to one year you can only run the apu at a max of 5.47 hours per day... now assuming you get it in the winter maybe you can stretch that out a little but I got mine in June and was out of warranty by November. So if you decide to get one of these I will say they are a great battery charger. But I'm sure you can find one a little cheaper. DO WHAT YOU WANT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
