I work on fiberglass boats , sailboats , and sport fishing boats . I truly appreciate you're videos , I wish I had the knowledge of wooden boats . Where I'm located in deep south tx , very seldom do I see a wooden boat . You're work is awesome , well spoken and detailed . I'm waiting for the splash day ! Keep safe ✌️
Your transom is now a thing of beauty. So much better than the rotted mess you removed. It also looks like the bucket was more stable than the crappy old piece of playwood you were balancing on to cut earlier.
It was great meeting you at the boat yard in January. I’m the guy with the Hans Christian. We will be back in St. Mary’s full time first of March. If you were still around and need any help or assistance, let me know! Love your videos and great job on the transom. It even looked better in person!
That epoxy looks like great stuff. I use a lot of it. Some Builders use 3M 5200 in between planking layers. You see that a lot on triple planked mahogany runabout bottoms, which then get glassed over. Awlwood MA is all I use as well! Yellow tinted primer! Great stuff.
Fantastic video! I'm really enjoying watching your progress. Thank you for putting in the effort to make and edit these videos. The transom looks amazing!
Haha I’ve made ditty bags and have had plenty of nice tool bags but eventually we all end up with the canvas harbor freight bag! Cause it’s awesome. I’ve seen it in so many boat building videos and I’ve certainly got mine.
I enjoy watching wooden boat repairs from people and shipwright’s and i’m glad you are posting videos but a couple of suggestions, I agree with many people who have been asking for videos of your boat both inside and out l, the other thing is 2:46 your smoking is a bit much and think it hurts your videos in all honesty. Thanks for posting your videos! !
Well done video! You must be elated to have the transom off your to-do list. That looked like the most complex job needed to be done. Looking forward to seeing what's next, as you mark off the list.
Great job, Varnish in the tropics where I am on a stern scares me cause having to redo the varnish in the water could be challenging. And here we have to redo it every two years or sometimes less. Does look good though.
That’s funny dude. Always ask for sponsorships, I can’t think of better people to represent a product than a guy who uses and shows how to use it. Great video, can’t wait to see her under sail.
Morning (in the UK). We both love the videos, the calm approach and the finished transom looks just awesome as only wood can. Please keep goin but...as a sound engineer and musician I squirm every time you spin the camera as the noise it creates is very loud compared to the vocal. With that sorted Wylllville is just fabulous. Thankyou.
Thanks for existing, most of the sailing channels are dogsh*t consisting of clickbait fake titles and filler instead of genuine, useful, inspiring, and intelligent dialogue that is direct. Keep it coming.
Hey man if you’re still on here, and you had 50k to by a boat and 50k extra for mods and repairs, as much work as a wood boat requires would you buy it over glass?
A rose by any other name? Your "rot resistant primer is Red Lead, can't fool this old shipwright. Traditional old toxic boat paints, oil-based solvents, preservatives and primers are what works best. Water-based paints and now varnish is crap.
Your a master at your work. I did learn a lot from watching this….congrats
Anyone that smokes a Peterson System pipe while rebuilding his boat is a good man.. job well done
Thank ye, sir!

Good stuff man. Ryan earned that Marlin spike for sure. Keep the content coming. Maybe a thorough tour of Shallamar?

I like the Peterson pipe! is that a 302? The poker was nice too.
Oh, the boat is looking great too! ;)
Awlwood is liquid gold in a can! Amazing product, its dear but hou get what you pay for. I haven't used anything else since the first time i used it.
Will we ever get more content I’m miss your blogs 😤
When is the next blog ?……?….
Where are you, are you ok 🤞🤞🤞🤞
What wood boat is that? Can you make a tour (Inside/outside... rig)? So we know what you work on...
I need to see more when is your next update?
You missed a run..
😆 j/k
Great job. You should pick up acting too
What kind of warnish did you use?
Very interesting but too much cigar
Hey man if you’re still on here, and you had 50k to by a boat and 50k extra for mods and repairs, as much work as a wood boat requires would you buy it over glass?
Absolutely. The only construction material to me is wood!
Any epoxy worth using has atleast 2k pounds per square inch strength..basically the wood will fail before the epoxy will..
Why not roll and tip?
How is it going we have not had any updates recently are you okay

Too many words, boat build, blah blah.
