Love this!! Did you put anything on the styrofoam ball before attaching the fondant? Is there anything you can use in place of shine spray to make that effect? Thanks so much!
Hi Rosemary, I used Edible Glue rubbed over the styro balls to adhere the fondant. Sticks WAYYYY better than water and piping gel. No Slip, no bubbles. We have a new ultra thick, fast drying edible glue called More Hard N Sticky on our website. To get a shine without the shine spray, that same glue - More Hard N Sticky - use a square new makeup sponge and wipe over an even layer quickly with no second passes will give you a great shine without the glaze spray. Or in a pinch, spray with vegetable oil and wipe over evenly. Cheers, Monica
Hi! I used an extruder which is so much easier than hand rolling. A little corn flour dusting helps stopping them from sticking together as you weave the basket effect, you've got this!
Of course you can, however, you increase the weight by a lot, the cost of materials, and the work load to not only get it really round, but to ganache it smooth for the fondant. Is up to you, and I understand the need for all edible materials too, all the best, Monica
I can't read any of the words half way through the video there is a light reflecting on the table. And the white words blend into the white fondant at one point. And that was where I really needed to be able to read.
Hi Megan, Yes it's Loyal edible shine spray - gave it a great satin shine finish with out being glossy. Yes you can make the ball out of Rice Krispies, but will weigh a little more however will be far more yummier than my styro one :P
Gracias por el video. Me gustaría saber que utilizas para pegar la red?

omg where did you get that tool to push out the fondant like that!!!!
Hi Justin, most cake decorating stores have it - it's called a extruder if that helps you search for it in your local area
Nice 👍

Sorry about that. I am a creative artist and not that great with tech. Will improve going forward. xx
Is that shine spray edible? Say I wanted to make the basketball out of Rice Krispies?
