I have an explanation for Sikkim Guy Story.
I was in Himachal (Solang) for a trip a two week ago and was staying in a resort along with other classmates.
The resort was made up of 80% wood ( even the walls).
My junior created a panicked situation because he thought someone knocked on the wall from the other and we are in the last room and behind wall there was nothing.
We were on the 2nd floor.
We asked the reception and they had a very reasonable answer.
Acc to them.. the resort is some 15 years old and wood started making noises.

But it doesn't matter what Mr. Ravi Shastri said, coz it must have been in some situation/context... Normally it doesn't mean anything wrong ...

Thank you... Finally, somebody. This show how little we know about our own language. Hindi is not even my first language but it's a Muhavara or a phrase, and it's actually "Dil muh ko ana" which means extremely scared.

The Srinagar story I think he was referring to khooni Nala where these accidents used to happen during the night due to someone usually a police inspector for pointing them in the direction of the trench instead of the road . And sometime big boulders use to fall down from the mountains and cause accidents. Now they have a mesh structure installed to prevent accidents due to boulders . bTw there are multiple legends related to this place thus happens to be one of those legends
