I used your video as a guide to install my Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector today and it went on perfectly first time. Appreciate all of the tips and advice on this one. Definitely worth watching at least twice before having a go.
Great video. I've been using Whitestone since my wife's Galaxy S9, love the product. By far, this was the most challenging install yet. Your video was a big help, but I found 2 things: I don't think 1 tube is enough for one screen, and 2, once you drop that weight on there, that bubble moves very quickly. I ended up having to remove the first try, and start over. Second time I used 1 tube plus a quick little bloop from a second tube, and that was just enough to make it...and I didn't have any noticeable excess. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Yeah they need to add a little more glue. Not sure if it is the white absorbent sticks that are stealing some of it but it is certainly not enough. Just a touch more. I had to let mine sit for a few minutes before it spread all the way around and still a little not reaching the top corners.
TI have been installing the whitestone dome glass protectors for years. This is a long video. Here are some time stamps to jump from prep to install. Enable Touch Sensitivity 2:25, Remove Existing Screen Protector 2:51, Masking Film 3:41 Speaker protector 6:03 Install liquid 7:07 Install Glass 8:57 UV light process 11:38
your video was great and i had a flawless install. Looks perfect thank you. My issue is my fingerprint won't register now no matter what i've tried. Do you have any tips/tricks/advice to help with this issue? thanks again.
I bought one of these for my S20 ultra. It's a great screen protector, but when I installed it I have tiny air pockets running up and down the curved edges after curing. Maybe I cured it too fast. The box did come with 2 so when I want to use the second one I'll reference this video and hopefully I can get it perfect.
It doesn't have to be your fault because of the bubbles. I've tried the exact same thing and if the glass doesn't fit 1000% or the curvings are a little off, the glass will lift itself no matter what you do or no matter for how long, you cure it be using the UV light.
Hi there, I had trouble with install on the ultra, there was not enough fluid to cover the entire phone with one tube of the adhesive . They’ve replaced the item so should I use the contents of one tube and add a couple drops from the spare tube to ensure full coverage?
@@thehoxhaistbodhisattva7967 They are better in my opinion, cheaper for 2 than one, better fingerprint scanner performance, better customer service. Equal in quality. I won't buy Whitestone again.
A year roughly before the adhesive under it on the corners starts comming off I'm researching aswell since I got a s20 ultra and just wasted my money on rhinoshield flex screen protector corners are comming off so might have to check whitestone since they are the only ones with high rating all other is just marketing scams
Excelente protector y excelente tutorial. La verdad es que hay que estar concentrado en la ejecucion del procedimiento de instalacion. Lo digo por que desperdicie un protector cuando me descuide por un segundo. Afortunadamente el paquete viene con dos protectores. Gracias por el video.
Awesome product. And great video!! It lastes 6 Months for me. Going to install the replacement now but I dont have all 4 tapes for the sides. Any alternative I can use?
Hey I know this video is for the galaxy s20 ultra but I'm getting the galaxy s20 plus 5g could I still watch this video and still get an idea of the installation your doing for the ultra cause your videos are good and descriptive? Thanks
Just a heads up to everyone, it's not as easy as he makes it look! I couldn't make it work both times I tried (the glue wouldn't reach the top of the screen no matter what I tried (I did exactly what he did in the video) I had it installed by a professional before in the samsung store here and it was perfect both times.. so I guess it just needs practice, but I don't think you'll get it right from the first time.
I saw that problem happen alot but it takes like 5 min for the glue to reach all corners... I did it the first time but I might have to add 1-2 drops of the extra glue to make sure it reaches all corners faster
I saw some videos regarding the installation but none after a period of time... my undestanding is it is glass, the glass of the phone can expand or retract... what will happen with the protective galss... does it will begin to crack on the edges ?
Remember to mention that the absorb stribes makes dust and it falls on the screen if you don't know this. Another thing, very important, install the glass on a 100% straight flat surface or the glue will run to the sides. It's not good enough that you just lift the tray a little here and there.
so when registering a fingerprint, you can actually use both thumbs for a single print and then you can be more ambidextrous when picking up your phone
Thank you for this video. I was able to install my screen protector better than the time before, but its still a little hard to get it absolutely dead center on the phone.
To wipe it down, you don't want excess glue drying on the sides. After the initial curing the tray is pointless as well. The light can cover more surface area and more effectively without the tray obstruction.
hey curious to know how responsive it is when unlocking the phone using the fingerprint while DISABLING touch sensitivity? Would be good to know if it still operates well. Thanks!
Fitted mine onto my new phone last night. Went on perfect. Problem came when I fitted phone into mous case. Sides of case managed to lift up the edges of the screen protector🙄😞
Can Anyone confirm these DO NOT have small tiny dots along the sides and middle of the screen protector? I bought one from AMfilms and that one had them. Such a horrible idea.
The Whitestone Dome Glass was not able to protect my phone samsung galaxy s20 plus it still cracked from a 6 inch drop onto my wooden desk right at the corner of the display. And it was such a pain to apply. Case I used was UAG not sure of type but it retailed for ~$75. If anyone recommends good samsung cases they can swear by let me know please. I had my iphone 6s plus for 5 years no cracks no damage ever and it had some pretty good falls still no damage. I can't find someone that does samsung phone test drops from 50ft on youtube just for iphone and the defender case I had for my iphone was great. I love my samsung but haven't even had it a year and it couldn't withstand such a small drop... also glass on back cracked but that's UAG's fail. Man just venting hope it helps someone ;) I really tried to research to protect my phone like I did my iphone but it just seems like there's not as much extreme tests people do.
Watched the video and applied it on correctly the 1st time, just to find out I applied the glass upside down. What the hell man instructions weren't clear on that
Bought one 2 dags ago for my s20 ultra. First of all, it really is a freakin' nightmare to install. And now, 48hrs late it has cracked in one corner, without me even dropping the phone or anything. Stupidest 50 bucks I've ever spent on something. My recommendationins? DO NOT BUY THIS SHIET.

You have to cure it for atleast 5min. If not cured properly the edges will lift after a day or two. Learnt the hard way.

How did you mess it up?
I like the music and the video

Just ordered this Protector after wasting $80 on 2 Other Brands. Hope this does the trick
did it work well?
Great video. I just installed a dome glass protector for my S20 Plus and it looks amazing! Flawless install
Does your finger print scanner work well with this protector? Looking for a protector for my s20 plus.
yes, is it a must to switch on touch sensitivity for the fingerprints to eork well?
@@selfcareup yes definitely recommend turning on extra sensitivity mode after installation but I also had no issues with it off as well
Case is good on it?
Great vid as usual, but what happened to the comparison to the amFilm Ultra Glass?
Are those a good alternative? Hard to find the Domes in Canada.

Yes you can. I'm using it right now =)

I always add both thumbs and index fingers

Yeah, this company is laughing all the way to the bank
What brand of PowerBar is that? Also what is the amps?
Will the uv glue came off? Because many uv glass after one month, the bubble shows up
Note in my experience. I have had great experience with them
What’s the song you has in the beginning of this video??!
Do these affect cases noticing most s20 ultra cases don’t do built in screen protectors
Very interested to know this to, already bought a defender case
I'm curious as to why he took it out the tray for the 4 minute cure?

Yes. I have a video about taking it off. It's doesn't fracture in to pieces.
Awesome just watched it. Thank you

I installed now. But liquid is not passing through top right and left corner of the phone. I waited more then 3 minutes .
