Let's see: Tories have been in power for 14 years, have an 80-seat majority, and have taken trillions without any investment into the UK, so yeah, they are not feeling better off. Have a look at the food banks alone.

EVERYTIME TORIES LEAVE POWER THEY MAKE IT HARDER FOR LABOUR TO DO WHAT THEY NEED TO DO LIKE BUILDING HOUSES

The Tories are toast, Marina has obviously done her homework and I basically agree with everything she has said. Typical tory tax cuts bribes coning (that old chestnut) in one last throw of the dice. I am 64 years old and lived through both labour and tory governments but can honestly say that I have never seen the country go down as fast over the last 5-10 years.

God, that last caller was an absolute bellend. Marina Purkiss, absolutely spot on as usual. That tory MP wasn't quite as insufferable, arrogant as dishonest as most seem to be. I bet her voting record would be interesting though.

I think she's just as dishonest. She just looks innocent and knows when to drop her t's, to sound a bit more 'normal'.

Stop trying to rewrite history, the personal allowance was a Lib dem initiative not Tory, according to Nick Clegg Cameron told him you can have free tuition or a 10k personal allowance but you can't have both, Clegg said he chose the personal allowance because he thought more people would benefit from it.

There has been a massive shift in wealth to people already rich. They buy up assets, because they are wealthy, they keep house prices artificially high, that no one on basic income can't afford to buy a home. This always happens when the Tories are in power.

“Cost of living crisis”. There are companies making record profits off the back of it all, that’s not a cost of living crisis, that’s a profiteering crisis. Same companies taking advantage of universal credit topping up the poverty wages they get away with paying.

9:23 Why is Storm saying what she "supposes" the government's 'argument' would be, when she has a sitting member of the governing party sat there, on her panel?
How would Storm Huntley know what the government's defence of things are?

Thinking of a country's finances as a credit card speaks to how Ms Davison fails to understand economics completely. She probably shouldn't be commenting given that level of comprehension.

The right to buy isn’t the issue, councils repeatedly allow developers to build on their land and only give 1% to the council or make 1% “reasonable rent” we’ve had hundreds of thousands of homes built, however a lot of those are sold often years before their made or rented at 4 x the level of council rents. There should be a major buy back of homes not in regular use/being left into disrepair. Their should be a stop to allowing companies to build on council land and instead council built and council used houses made. Often the schemes available to buy a council home are the only way people will ever own, either paying monthly with rent or in portions. Taking that away just makes it a bigger divide

We won’t get better people in the seats who care about the average person until the system is changed. Currently there’s no minimum expectation of service for a pm as there isn’t a job description. There’s no complaints system if there not supporting the will of the people and so on until that’s changed then we will forever be in a cycle of. There should be implications if the manifestos aren’t met, if people aren’t able to get their voices herd there should be a more direct process ( not every mp takes forward issues from constituents)
