I’m rooting for you guys. I know that must be frustrating as hell. On the bright side though your room in Cambodia is awesome. I’m sure 20 years from now when you look back on this you Will be grateful that this experience was one of the many that shaped you. Thanks for all of your hard work you put into your videos. Always appreciative of that. And your consistency is spot on.
Thanks Chad ❤ as always your words and support are a great source of encouragement. Yes, as uncomfortable as it is, it's the difficult things that make us stronger and cause us to grow and become more resilient. But knowing when and how to recharge and rest is important too :) A lesson we are learning everyday in a variety of ways. 🙏
Congratulations!!🎉🎉 I hope to see more of your videos.
Thank you! we are excited about what's coming up!
What a crazy journey! Laurel brings such a light that really balances Bren out. You guys need a good time to unwind in Cambodia! Good luck and can't wait to see what's next on this journey.

Bren was a little grumpy for this one haha 😆 we clearly didnt want to do a visa run but Cambodia has become a lovely adventure. Thanks for watching Joel!! ❤
Have a great journey and stay safe guys!
Thanks Suay! 🙏
Unfortunately that's Thailand. They don't make it easy to stay here long-term. I hope you both get good news within the week then you can relax for 2 years 👍
Yup, you gotta really want to stay haha. Thanks for the support Ricky, looking forward to sharing what's to come next week :)
I think we Thai really love people to come and always welcome but long-term I think it's not easy for many countries all over the world my friend, and in the other hand if we Thai go to the west it's much much more difficult for us than you guys my friend even we wanted to travel there just only one week.
@@onalonan that a fair point. Definitely isn't easy for Thais to travel to some countries
@@RickyIsaan Thank you for your reply my friend💕💕💕
Yes, it's very hard for Thai people and the weirdest case that I've heard was one of my close friend who had already been studying in the University in the states for more than 3 years(long time ago before covid) and he came back to Bangkok for the new year anniversary and when he went back there he just couldn't go back to the states because the Visa problems. Lol
You're very welcome to Thailand my friend💕💕💕
Hey guys, so sorry y’all are dealing with this very frustrating situation! On the chance that I’m giving some unsolicited advice, just breathe: Thailand is not your homeland. I know you love it, the people are just amazing! One thing I have learned is that different immigration offices have different rules. I know it’s crazy but I would “shop around” to different immigration offices in different regions. You are getting to live a life that some dream about. Just breathe friends!
Hey Tex!
Thanks for the encouragement and advice. You're right, not our country, different rules to play by. It can be difficult to find the "right" perspective in moments of stress.
We mainly wanted to share that it's not always sunshine and rainbows, and that's normal. This too shall pass :)
Thanks for the great content as always! I've also been thinking about going for the SMART visa and making a life for myself there. It would be extremely helpful if you could talk a little more about some of the specific road blocks and issues you have run into. Is there anything you would do differently to make things go more smoothly? Do you still recommend the same visa helpers?
Hey Benbo! Thank you so much. Yes, for sure! We would love to make a more dedicated update video of our experience with the Smart Visa, we have a few more in the pipeline before that happens, so in short, yes I would absolutely still reccomend Settle in Abroad. Most of the issues were out of both of our control, and some were 100% our own fault, so we would love to share that learning for anyone interested in pursuing it as well. If you would like a more detailed update sooner, please send us an email, and I would be happy to discuss it in detail with you and anyone else!

Move to Cambodia. Buy a visa for about 300 USD a year and no other requirements. Thailand loves to make things difficult.
that definitely sounds like an easier option!
Great tourist selfies here!
(Just an idea, nothing personal: maybe interesting to show something from here, but ok just so strange, maybe a cultural thing all focus on yourself in the west?)
Haha take a look at our other videos! I think you'll find this one to be more of the exception as it's about our visa struggles and not a highlight of the country.
Thanks for watching!
In a similar situation of visa struggles. Everything will work out for the best and what will be will be! Remember you said you wanted to do it in south america at one point too, and I believe Colombia just created a digital nomad visa. Nice back up option to give you peace of mind.
Your right Sam! Wishing you some good luck as well. That's good to know! We have actually been thinking alot about Colombia these days, who knows, maybe that's our next step. Thanks for watching 😊
