The Kill Bill- Soundtrack- The Lonely Shepherd is much older than the movie Kill Bill 1. The music recording dates from 1977. The panflute soloist is Romanian Gheorghe Zamfir. The accompanying orchestra is the James-Last-orchestra. The instrumental piece is composed and arranged by the German music genius James Last. The song is now world famous and is excellently played by many panpipe players. Strangely enough, only the first panpipe player of this song Gheorghe Zamfir is often mentioned and not the mastermind creator of this beautiful melody JAMES LAST.
@@ayshstrings Look at any commercially available sheet music of this instrumental piece and there solely James Last is named as composer because only James Last had the copyrights to this piece. Hanzo swore never to build another weapon of death after his collection. The fact that he built her one more sword. He must have put every ounce of perfection into that blade, he must have had a ton of respect for her and for her reasons of revenge. Such a beautiful art piece, such a deadly weapon.
I think he knew Bill and what she was up against and felt a sense of duty and honour to give her an edge on him. That's why he says with no ego it's his finest work more like he has fulfilled his duty.

Say what you like about Tarantino, the last scene of Kill Bill Vol. 1 shows what a masterful storyteller he is. It gives the audience a chance to reflect on the enemies the Bride's already taken out, sets things up for the ones she has yet to face, and then drops a big old cliffhanger plot twist just before the credits roll. This score alone adds an entire layer to the movie. It’s just so incredible. Everything about Kill Bill in my opinion is a masterwork. That Moment when the person who bullied you as a child turns a new leaf. "That side of me is long dead." The reason why they bullied was of their insecurities and the control over someone. Years pass when they realize that it wasn't worth the laughs anymore. To those who read this... If You have the heart to forgive and forget the moments of weakness, you are the greatest person who ever existed.
Always have even when it was happening to me in that moment I always met hate with love and forgiveness life isn't meant to be weighed down by grudges ❤️ love is pure freedom.. also it makes u the realer person and everyone w any sense can see that ..even the one hating which u might help to help realize their mistakes by doing so by showing love they might just even meet u at that level and ask for forgiveness all because of your reality.. naturally helping others realize their mistakes (and so much more...all that could possibly come with being a benifactor to life) just by staying real...all u have to do is be real through all of life and you will naturally be a healer to it alike

That's a trip buddy.
This score alone adds an entire layer to the movie. It’s just so incredible. Everything about Kill Bill in my opinion is a masterwork. The performances, the cinematography, the soundtrack and musical score, the fight scenes and choreography. Pulp Fiction has always been a favourite of mine and it almost comes closest to being his best, but really and truly ... Kill Bill is my all time favourite Quentin Tarantino film.
I am yet decided but fairly sure I am in agreement with you.
100% mate bur swap Pulp Fiction for Inglorious Basterds for me and that's my conundrum
Jackie Brown?
Just watched Pulp Fiction for the first time the other day. It's got nothing on Kill Bill Vol.1.
Poor Bill, I wonder what hurt more, the five finger death punch, finding kiddo alive and pregnant or realizing he might have just killed his child. What a world QT made. Genius. This story is my favorite.
Lol five finger death punch is a band
It's five point palm exploding heart technique
Alea Floyd Oh yeah! Ahaha.
Lol I always forget too
Rob N Kill BIll Vol. 1 & 2 are my favorite QT movies~!!
Ironically, both my mom and stepfather also enjoy these films! XD
Kuroro2345 volume 3 i think hes working on
cant wait
THen hes doing a horror movie
Still in October 2023... just finished revising both the parts again. Have watched it countless number of times.
The movie and the music. This is so so soulful. Thanks for both the masterpieces. ❤❤❤ from India
Superb movies - outstanding soundtrack!
நானும் இந்தியாவில் இருந்து தான், என்னோட வாழ்கை, என்னோட உயிர், என்னோட மகிழ்ச்சி எல்லாமே இந்த படம் பாட்டும் தான்

"One more thing, Sofie... is she aware her daughter is still alive?"

That scene gave me "Goosebumps"
@@chiranjibabinash609 remember a friend saw this in theaters when the movie was out about him and 40 other people were in said theaters and when "one more thing sofie...is she aware her daughter is alive."
Several of them said "wait what the fuck" other said "holy shit" but few said "Classic Quentin Tarantino" he told me he wouldn't forget that day because all them were excited for volume 2
@@silentjoker45 Yeah right. Classic Tarantino.
One of the best endings ever
Missing my daughter so much and listening to this song.. I hope she grows up tough as Beatrix
Why where is she?

Talk about a MASTERPIECE pulling at the heartstrings !!
"There are consequences to breaking the heart of a murdering bastard."
"When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other, that not only does God exist, you're doing His will."

One of the most inspiring songs I've ever heard. If you're facing adversity in your life, or if you've been written off and left for dead by your haters, this song will make you reach into that dark place and use it for fuel to get yourself out of your personal hell and back into the light.
This music makes me feel like I'm a bird flying around the world to Japan. Above the Alps, and Himalayas... reaching Japan when the sun is rising fron the sea.
Greetings from Syria ❤
@Tony Montana no they are all in Turkey lmao
Ur a fucking magician is what you are ... what you feel after listening micheal jackson and eminem 😂
I pray that u and ur family would stay safe and yes go visit japan man.
May God bless Syria with all happiness and prosperity.
Mustafa Alio thank you very much, greetings from a young guy who now lives in UK, a Romanian boy, same like the author of this wonderful song,God's grace be upon you 🤗❤
Лучшая композиция всех времён Тарантино молодец что добавил её в свой фильм ,очень люблю фильм и эту милодию ❤ привет из России
I want this to play at my funeral
who says you are going to have one?
Died laughing :D :D :D

Is this the dream of your life?
Denzel Sugayan I want to become a mentor in what I'm good at when I get older. I want my kids or/and followers to play this in my funeral too. I may go, but I'll be leaving my teachings to them.
This is the music that plays when 2020 is over
Hahaa
Nice.
Nothing will change when 2020 ends, you have my word for it.
Indeed, it is
Remember when 2016 was the worst year ever?
This song remember my dad, he´s died last year... i miss you dad!!!
Te acompaño en el sentimiento, bro!

I wish he is in peace.
:( my dad showed me kill bill this song reminds me of him as well
Que cette musique est belle ! Je l'écoute plusieurs fois de suite sans me lasser... J'adore quand les trompettes arrivent... merveilleux.
"Revenge is never a straight line. It's a forest and like a forest it's easy to lose your way to get lost to forest where you came in"
Yes fifty seven people have commented that
It isn't "to forget" instead of "to forest"?
Domo..
My soul has been purified.
Never gets old.
Never ever.
Damn right.
I'm so glad I saw this in the theatres in Oct. Of 2003.. wasn't expecting anything but what a surprise this movie was..
This music turned a good film in a masterpiece
Omg ❤️
This soundtrack is the greatest in Quentin Tarantino's movies 🌹
The melody "The lonely shepherd" was written by James Last and first released on his album "Memories from Russia", released 1977 (Polydor Germany 2371 856), which also featured Zamfir on the track "Nadjenka". The panflute was played by Gheorghe Zamfir, who had a contract with the Philips record company
That Moment when the person who bullied you as a child turns a new leaf.
"That side of me is long dead."
The reason why they bullied was of their insecurities and the control over someone.
Why the hell would you place that comment in this comment section? Have you seen the movie it's a revenge film.
@Agent Breeze maybe you do, maybe people around you do... not me, not my heart... i never would, and never should forgive those who "torture me when i was weak", i "repay those who fed me with bread when i was desperate"
2023 still one of the most iconic music out there
Gheorghe Zamfir thank you for this so so so beutiful pan flute Music. Sometimes it makes me cry and sometimes it´s make me happy. Close your Eyes and just listen.
Thanks for information
Thanks for the tip. I have listened to it and liked it but this is my favorite. My dad and I used to listen to it but he passed away six months ago. Miss him so much ...

Hattori hanzo : I've completed doing... what i swore an oath to God, 28 years ago, to never do again...
I have created "something that kills people."
And in that purpose, was a success.
I've done this because philosophically, I am sympathetic to your aim.
i can tell you with no ego, this is my finest sword.
If on your journey, you should encounter God..
God will be cut..

You're walking away from a chapter of your life.
The chapter is closed.
"Funny how the music puts time in perspective."
I was there back in 2003 in the formative years of high school when this movie was released. I saw it 6 times in theaters.
That final scene, and this playing, that feeling of finality (as one commenter put it), the bass line that leads up to it, the drum igniting the trumpets, it's just all too perfect.
One of a few beautiful soundtracks from beautiful movie Kill Bill, forever you will listen and watch.
I can see Tarantino writing Inglorious Basterds in his study listening to this wonderful piece

Growing up in the late 90s early 2000s in Vietnam I listen to a lot classic Western songs, glad to find them again in my adulthood watching Kill Bill.
Hello from MOLDOVA ..... Very proud of this song .....Gheorghe Zamfir one of the best!
Goosebumps when the trumpets kicked in 🎺❤️
This song make my cry
Neat
Me too..
Same, But it must be the way it's played, That has a certain sense of Emotion.
Idk why but me to I shed a tear
Crazy thing is, I just watched Kill Bill 1 again today for the first time in many years. Looked up on Wiki to see what Sonny Chiba was doing, and he passed away exactly a year ago today on 19/08/2021. Gave me goosebumps.
Fantastic, Tarantino chooses music that makes the movie so very much better, I love this about him, Jackie Brown too, brilliant!!!!
niña hdz es la mejor película de tarantino
I havent seen Jackie Brown....!
And by the way his film has made the music better at the same time. Wonderful.
The legendary movie, the legendary music, the legendary actors, the legendary director!!!!

La cancion mas maravillosa que se pueda escuchar. Se clava en el alma
It's nice reading through the comments praising the song whilst listening to it.
Listening to the best song from one of my favorite movies in the era of COVID-19.
Thinking of better times that will never come back.
We had it so good.
So sad but very true, the world is and has been changing for many years, and not for the good, will humanity ever learn?i doubt it very much
The world is getting better but you are right about the times changing, they are not the same and you feel nostalgic about it.
Who can dislike this masterpiece?
Хочется взлететь выше гор и парить над ними. Какая кругом красота.. Хотелось чтобы и жизнь была красивой как эта мелодия!!!! 🌞🪐🌥️🌠🌟🪐🌞🌠🌊🪐🌞🌝☀️🪐

The mixture of Eastern and Western tonalities in this opus is incredible, just like the movie itself. I don't need to go into detail, it's so very apparent but respectably symbiotic in this entire track.
Real kill Bill fan will never forget this soundtrack
