Thank you for making this video. I got married just shy of 6 weeks ago and I have been feeling so off and down, mostly due to going to work. When I'm not at work on the weekends I feel great but going back to work every Monday is a drag so heavy and I really wasn't experiencing that before getting married. I didn't get Sunday scares or feel anxious on Monday morning but now it is so intense because I know I have to go through an entire week of not being at home with my husband. so I totally get the separation anxiety to. It slowly improved a little but its dipped again as we have just come back from our delayed honeymoon so I feel anxious and sad all over again.

I’m going through this right now. I also had a crappy couple days prior to the wedding which emotionally threw me. I just feel so down and miserable, and mad at myself for feeling this way. I should be elated and so over the moon. And I feel empty and lonely and just miserable.

    • @SophieHelyn

I totally get what your mean about feeling guilty for feeling down! I think it’s important to try and accept this is the way your feeling and that it will pass because your feelings are valid and totally explainable!

Thanks for being brave enough to share. I can identify...there is such a big lead up to your wedding day and when the party’s over you really have to readjust. It’s lovely that you enjoyed being in your wedding/honeymoon love bubble that you’re missing it. I think more pplgo through this than are willing to acknowledge it. Sending love wherever u are now in ur journey

Yeah I feel sort of this way, and very emotional everyone keeps telling me "You married your best friend so no need to be sad" which I hate that

Thank you so much for this. I got married 2 weeks ago, we only went on a 5 night honeymoon, but still when we came back it was very hard. Also having the separation anxiety! It's crazy! Really didn't expect this to hit me like it has. Anyway knowing I'm not alone helps a lot. Hope you are doing better now xxx

Girl you are making me cry lol. Just got back from our honeymoon. It was amazing just being with my husband I love being with him and now he is at work all day and yes it does hurt. So weird! I haven't cried much but on the verge very often. We had such a long planning process with two weddings for each side of the family. It was all so magical and of course, I don't want it to end but I know I am here to work until our next adventure. I feel you! It really comes down to being co dependent which I totally am personally. Thank you so much for sharing!

@@susantoohey2710 Unfortunately my marriage didn’t work out. My depression got worst and he couldn’t deal with it and it caused a lot of tension between us. I felt I wasn’t in a supportive environment, I also lived with his mother and it made the home environment toxic for me. I had to leave for my own mental sanity. I hope everything works for you and I would recommend couples therapy.

Thanks so much for this video. Been feeling so off, and I had a feeling depression was creeping in again. My husband and I have been married 2 months now and I feel like I see him as now as I did when we were dating. He runs three businesses and works such long hours. I just wish I could spend more time together, but I know there’s not much he can do to help that. I’m so happy being married to my best friend but the time away from each other is what is really getting to me. I think over time I will be able to adjust, it’s just been hard these past couple of months. Again, thank you for the video 💗

Oh..Sophie. You need to go back to see your doctor. It sounds like you need an adjustment to your medication. If it was right for you things would not be as hard as they are for you right now. Please go to see your doctor, please. Post natal depression is really a hormonal crash. I suffered from it with my second child but not my first. It’s really not about a build up or anything like that.it’s all hormonal. It’s also quite debilitating. I hope that you feel better soon. I can relate. I have had anxiety and depression as well.
