I was an exchange student in Tokyo many, many years ago, and a Filipino fellow student sang this song with his guitar when we had a cultural night. I was so touched by the melody, and it moved me to tears, even though I didnt understand the meaning at that time. So I then learnt the lyrics and it has been one of my favourite songs. Now I'm so happy to watch Bayan Ko being sung so beautifully in Pilipino and English too....Aking adhika makita kang sakdal laya...hear my fondest wish, to see you forever free. Love this!
