I was an exchange student in Tokyo many, many years ago, and a Filipino fellow student sang this song with his guitar when we had a cultural night. I was so touched by the melody, and it moved me to tears, even though I didnt understand the meaning at that time. So I then learnt the lyrics and it has been one of my favourite songs. Now you can physically say they are not occupying your land but had left your wallets not only empty but with a $160B debt from the IMF.
