- Here is the ultra-rare "French Kiss Remix" of "Kissing You." I've only seen this special remix appear on a vinyl test pressing that I own, and nowhere else-this is definitely its first time on RUclips! So enjoy, Keith Washington fans!
I created the two images of the "Kissing You" single sleeve bearing the title "french kiss remix" specifically for this video. This sleeve does not actually exist. But it should! :)

Hey guys I didn't know that someone had posted this remix. I actually co-produced this with session jazz guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. at his home recording studio. And that's not Najee on the sax. We brought in the late jazz saxophonist George Howard to do the session because Gerald Albright was booked. Great times and honestly a underrated remix.

I heard this version of this song in Chicago years ago it's breathtaking.
I was a kid. I always here the original and expect the females to sing at the end. As years went by i thought maybe i made it up in my head. Now finding this i know im not crazy lol... this brings back memories. Man! Life is good!

wow wow wow....never heard this but damn ....its damn sweet !!!
The vocalists were the same ones singing for Michael Jackson at the time. Vocals were done by Phil Perry and Maxi Anderson. Jeff Lorber helped me do the keyboards and of course Paul did the guitar. The fun part was creating a baby face/churchy background vibe especially during the hook at the end.
Jeff Lorber, man.... what a prolific keyboardist he was back then! He was on EVERYTHING! And I absolutely love what you did at the end, too. As astoundingly good as the original is, this remix is nothing short of genius!
The only problem in my opinion is that the song has a FADE OUT ENDING. I hate Fade Out endings on songs because they always rob the listener out of hearing what else was on the song. Especially when the song gets to that GOOD PART that you ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR. What's the point of recording parts of a song that will NEVER be heard??? I don't get why musicians do that. If I was a musician I would make sure people hear EVERYTHING I RECORDED ON THE SONG,, EVEN IF IT WAS 20 MINUTES LONG. Its better to play a song in its entirety and have an ACTUAL ENDING to it. All musicians should know and remember that.
Somebody call Keith Washington and ask him how long he was in the studio singing and recording this song. And why he didn't put this version on his album?
this remix is cold blooded I remember back in, I wanna say 1992 when I heard this I was only 14 years of age, that's when I knew I love music through this song. only one brother I knew who perfected this song, at a church I use to attend, back in 1990 this brother played the intro and the whole entire song. The late great Charles Henderson out of Dallas Texas. Thanks for an amazing tune.

As much as I love the original version of this evergreen Keith Washington classic, it still can't beat this sadly overlooked French kiss remix. Strange enough I heard this once at the very tail end of this song by the time it changed from B Major 7 to C Major 7 and I never heard it again for 25 years now. Thanks for posting this.

One of the best songs ever made and the angelic voices of the backup singers makes this an all time great. Mr. Washington takes the song to a whole new level mixed in with that saxophone. Perfectly produced.
Thanks for listening! I've always been amazed that this remix never made it into the mainstream, as good as it is! There are no credits on the record label to give any clue as to WHO produced the remix, much less any credits for the sax soloist and background vocalists.
Oh, about "creating" the sleeve image; "create" may be too strong a word... :) I added the "French Kiss" title to an import sleeve image, that's all.... but it looks original, right? :)
