Excellent video! Your style of tutorials is really easy to understand and it is a joy to watch and listen! Thanks a lot and I would not mind seeing a sinden lightgun build video in the future. 😃
Finally an interface that launches Daphne/Hypseus Singe as it should be done, with its .bat files. So screen proportions are respected, bezels, scoreboards, etc. can be seen. Great! I was looking for just that!
Fantastic walk through. I used this to populate all my games. I now understand how the bay files work, how to add bezels, volume control, gun support. Thank you for showing AND a explaining as you go!
I was just trying to figure this out a little while back. Been wanting to use it with the Sinden Lightgun. Thanks for putting a video out about it. Also just realized there was a Fiero in Crime Patrol, nice!
Bloody Hell! How long has Bill Murray worked for Launchbox?? Seriously though, this video was awesome. Dunno who this fella is but he's gotta keep making these tutorials - the dry, drole tone just gets it right! I'd also say watching this was almost retro in itself - this is what setting up emulators used to be like before we all got spoiled by commercial-grade apps with 0 setup! Keeping it bat files, baby! Love it..... + it sooo needs a gui to do all that + would be sooo easy to code...dammit
Amazing tutorial, however I have a doubt. I am sure when I played this on the arcades there was a flash indicating to were you were suppose to move, why is that I can't see that flash anywhere?
I could be mistaken but not every scene in the original Dragons Lair has the indicators. Space Ace and Dragons Lair II do. I think the Sega CD actually has the hints built in.
Hi!, excellent turtorial and i was able to get Ninja Hayate working perfectly out side of Launchbox but when i launch from Launchbox, i get the black CMD screen popup and i cannot do anything unless i close the CMD screen to proceed. Any ideas how to bypass this?
Are you running Space Ace through Hypseus? I have the entire ALG, Singe & Daphne set working fine through Hypseus. When I load Space Ace as soon as I insert a credit game freezes and I have to force close Hypseus. Running the bat file with a pause shows no errors with Hypseus either. I’ve tried so many VLDP rips, different Roms, does the same thing. Old Daphne game works fine. Wondering if there’s an issue with the included bat file from dirtbag?
Things must have changed. We no longer get a data file or a subsystem file with the latest version. Can't see a way to download an older version to get those files either.
Looks like the latest version just combined the subsystem into the main emulator download. Github does have a way to download older versions on the same release page if you would like to still follow this tutorial word-for-word.
Dumb question but when I bought a license to Bigbox, I thought I could stay on that version in order to maintain the features of my purchase... but I keep getting forced to update and losing access to features. Am I missing something?
Same. I can find Dragon's Lair 2.1 easily, but I can't find one with files laid out like his in the video. I've been trying to figure out Daphne/Singe for years and I thought I was finally gonna do it with this video.
I cannot find the dragon's lair enhance 2.1 rom set anywhere. Been searching for a couple of hours. Even a hint of where to look would be nice or keyword searches...
Hi there! I know this is completely random, But 6 years ago you made a video about playing retro games on PC with the help of a emulator. I just wanted to ask. If there is any chance I can get the games folder you were using that video?
Question. Didn't all of these games receive fairly faithful and comptent ports to easier Platforms? Like Dragon's Lair for example I believe has a Sega CD port. Mad Dog McCree got a Wii port. And so on.
Most didn't and the ports that did get done are terrible graphicly (Sega CD and 3DO) and controls are awful as well. This is (besides a couple great remasters of DL and SA) the only way to play most and the original versions as well.
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC They are but the chapters are broken down in the video description instead on the actual video. I would recommend checking out the Google's article on how to add them to the video as not everyone looks at the description
That history segment was incredible!

nice video,Do you know a video tutorial on how to create a lasergame with Singe 2? Thank you
I would love to see one using the Sinden Lightgun. I have some Sindens but haven't messed around with Hypseus Singe yet.
The bezels included have Sinden bezels.

Yes, gun games playlist in MAME please

@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC Well, ya mentioned it, so I am essentially voting for it. :)

Sounds like it. In LaunchBox, go into Tools > Options > Updates, and adjust the update options to your liking.
why download 2 different source code?
There's no option to download the data.
Where do you find the games though
I know, right... normally It's easy, but I didn't find games with these especific folders and such. D=

The tutorial starts at 2:55 if you don't wanna listen to pointless jibber jabber in a video that is supposed to be a tutorial
The chapters are handy for this as well ;)

“Pointless jibber jabber”? For people like me who weren’t aware of the emulator, it’s a good summary
The history at the start was the best part!
