I love those views from the top of the castle! I never have seen a well which you can walk down before. That would be something I would enjoy. Cabo da Roca would definitely be a great spot to watch the sunset! Great job!

Thanks for sharing! I was there a few months ago but wasn’t able to see much of Cabo da Roca due to rain , wind & fog. We were in Peña Palace which was nice but couldn’t enjoy the views due to the thick fog. I wish we would’ve went to the Moorish Castle. I guess I need to go again!😊

@@DiscoverWithDima Pena Palace, not Peña Palace. In Portuguese, there's no tilde over the letter N, as in Spanish. In Portuguese, we use the diphthong "nh" instead of "ñ". It is not pronounced "Peña" either.
And another thing: The so-called "Moorish Castle" in its present state is not exactly Moorish. The remnants of the medieval castle generally attributed to the Moors were left in ruins after the 1755 earthquake that leveled Lisbon. Most of the ramparts, doorways, and pathways were rebuilt by order of King Ferdinand II (the same who order the construction of the Pena Palace) in the mid-1800s, in keeping with the romantic ideals of that century.
