Ok, we all know John's life history, we know he was very unfair to Julian, Yoko had her mistakes as well, either out of malice or insecurity, but people saying his assassination didn't affect her or that she was part of it is absurd. Everybody has flaws, and we don't have to like her at all, but she saw him dying. He had blood coming out of his mouth, and she saw that, she saw him in pain. Whether she wasn't happy in their marriage anymore or not, doesn't change the fact that she saw the man she was married to for 10 years dying because of a unstable person.
Hear hear. People have been slating her for 40+ years always bringing up Julian STILL. It’s nice to see lots of people also defending her for a change. It must’ve been very traumatic for her.
@jur9254 Their marriage was a complete sham from the start. If you understand the entertainment industry , you will understand when I say slave and handler . Don't forget, she told john to take their secretary and have a relationship with her that lasted 18 months.
I’m disgusted everytime I read comments on any video about Yoko. If someone claims to admire and love John Lennon as a person; then say terrible things about the love of his life then that person is a hypocrite. John himself would consider you an enemy. John said it best, “if you say you love me or my music but think Yoko is some kind of devil holding me on a leash then screw you brother or sister. If you feel that way about Yoko then you’ve misunderstood everything I’ve ever said in my music. Screw you. I’m not here for you. I’m here for Yoko and Sean. You can go jack off to ‘The Rolling Wings’. I don’t need you”.
@JonBlackstone, witchcraft is not understood by conventional people. It is real and can be very powerful. Yoko Ono used witchcraft on John Lennon. He was completely blinded, overpowered and enslaved. Yoko Ono is very, very with the dark side, or in Biblical terms, satan. Many people sense or intuitively feel there is something wrong with her but they do not realize the extent. She operates on a level that is imperceptible for conventional people, 'off the radar'. A suitably gifted psychic, medium or shaman would be able to discern what she is. She set out to destroy the Beatles and John Lennon. She achieved both. Many judge John Lennon. They have no idea he was no longer able to be himself. In the last years of his life he was in great inner pain.
No, not buying it. She moved another man into the Dakota soon after John’s death. Oh, and let’s not forget how she screwed over Julian. Years later, he sued her to get part of his father‘s estate. And then he had to use that money to buy back his father‘s instruments that she sold. John also bought his sister Julia a house, and Yoko sold it out from underneath her. That’s what she did. That’s who she is.

Not sure what I think of Yoko, but she was there and witnessed his murder, which I wouldn't wish on anybody. An interesting point is that it could have happened anywhere. Yes, America is often an unreasonably violent country. But I also remember George Harrison being nearly knifed to death in his own home in the UK while he was battling cancer and he was reportefly pretty shaken after that. An intruder also broke into the palace and actually conftonted Queen Eluzabeth while she was alone. The Beatles weren't not known fir good security, but where was security for the Queen? Terrible and senseless crimes have occurred in the most unlikely places outside of America, even in Canada, the "nice" country. John was a public figure, which triggers mentally ill people and others with a political axe to grind. It's sad there is still so much senseless violence.
Actually my understanding was that George had very high security all over his castle/mansion where he was attacked. No one mentions or counts genocide which is what the 2nd Amendment is for to stop over reaching governments. There are clearly cultural problems in the U.S. but we are not allowed to speak about which group and or groups perpetuate that violence usually on their own groups or the fact that most of it is in Blue Cities. Yoko Ono who is now in her 90’s, lives on a farm in the Catskills of upstate New York. She moved there in February 2023 after selling the Dakota building apartment she shared with her late husband John Lennon. Yoko is a beautiful person. I hope she has found some peace in her later years 🙏🏼♥️
She is a very powerful witch. She overpowered and enslaved John Lennon. He was in great inner pain in the last years of his life. You have a naive, romantic picture, as do many, that is far from the truth.
Nothing but love and compassion for yoko. She had so many immediate threats and people stealing johns personal items and trying to get his money all whilst she was grieving. She’s constantly blamed for the breaking up of the band when she had nothing to do with it, she literally created indie music and was incredibly important to the development of performance art, and she never gets any credit, she co-wrote imagine and never gets credit. She’s blamed for everything that happened in johns life, as though he was some infantilised tortured genius with no agency and she some evil witch who controlled him, he was a grown ass man. Constantly mocked with racist misogynistic portrayals. She is an absolute icon.
I absolutely love Yoko Ono, she is breathtaking and an original... Nothing fake about her at all. John loved her very much and both had experienced a lot of trauma and Yoko was the more stable... Love them both, they are perfect as they stand and stood.... 💖
As controversial as she was--and she certainly wasn't always nice to many people--it really got to me when she mentioned not changing anything that John left behind like that pack of cigarettes. It's great to hear how she thought about the effects of his murder. People say Yoko had a hold on John, but now we understand the hold he had on her.
I believe that too. Had he lived in Tittenhurst, England, which would have been normal, having bought the property in 1969, John could still be alive today. He certainly would not have been killed by gunfire in that way.
Un amor poco comprendido, yo no culpo a Yoko por la separación de la banda, solo tenía que ser así, ellos realmente estaban enamorados.. John, siempre viviras en nuestras mentes, dejaste una huella imborrable en este mundo 🩷

You're entitled to your succinct opinion, but as you can see I disagree.
It was certainly a tragedy that John Lennon was killed, we all agree on that. He was an amazing songwriter and musician we agree on that too. I think he was an idealist, who fought for his beliefs, and he sensed he was about to become a ‘sacrificial lamb’. My sense of it his life story, after hearing a lot of people’s talking, (Paul makes a lot of sense) is that ultimately it was his beliefs that mattered to him almost like a Kamikaze pilot. We still have the beauty that his art created and all the inspirations that his friendships spawned.
She had her flaws, he had his flaws, everyone has flaws but she lost a lover, friend, husband, father. As with anyone who lost a loved one I still feel for her. Their story was a love story that a lot of people would have wanted. God bless her,Sean, and especially Julian. R.I.P. John

Audrey, you are so far from the truth. Yoko Ono is literally a powerful witch. She used to go to witches meetings in New York, driven there by her chauffeur. I have no hatred towards Yoko, obviously a terrible thing to experience, but she moved Sam Havadtoy into the Dakota for the next 20 years (1981-2001). They were a couple! Even publicly acknowledging it. So, all this, "I stay here because of John,'' stuff, and the whole John/Yoko love story fantasy, is ridiculous. From 1977/78 onwards, she was clearly not in love with Lennon. It was very profitable to keep the myth going in the press. Havadtoy is erased from the story and in all Beatle online groups. Bizarre!!!
She was allegedly involved with Havadtoy before John's death. What she did to John's family is unforgiveable, though. I draw the line, there. How you treat your husband's family and previous children is a big deal, especially when children are involved. You have a responsibility. At the very least, you shouldn't go out of your way to mistreat or punish them.
With John’s involvement with May Pang, it seems like they had an open relationship and it wasn’t really about exclusivity at that point. I don’t think these extra😅 marital affairs really invalidate John and Yoko’s relationship. Life is more complex than we imagine it to be.
@@marymitchell8625 And those children should perhaps also respect the woman that their father has chosen to love. Maybe both were wrong and didn't give one another a chance. Julian doesn't come across as a great person either to be honest.
The proof is in the pudding. It’s in Sean Lennon. His father and mother were both famous and wealthy. His dad was murdered. And yet he turned out successful and for the most part a decent human being. That doesn’t happen without Yoko.
Had he had a bodyguard, he might have been wounded, but certainly not killed. And that rubbish who shot him would probably be dead. If you are that famous, you need at least one bodyguard at all times.

Do you actually believe that an adult can be taken away from somebody? John was very outspoken about his many pre-Yoko affairs during his marriage to Cynthia. He was a grown man, who made a choice -- not a baby stripped from Cynthia's arms.
OK…ENOUGH of these ridiculous comments about Sam Havadtoy moving in with Yoko. John and Yoko’s relationship clearly wasn’t what everyone thinks it was and what she chose to do is NOBODIES goddam business. Sam was apparently good support for her and again…nobody’s goddam business.
Like everyone else I was stunned and saddened when he was killed in such a senseless manner. Have to agree with some on here who say her statements were inconsistent. Why was he cremated so quickly (or at all if that's not what he expressed as his wish). Why did she change their plans to go eat before going home. Sean as a 5 year old should have been in bed asleep long before that time anyway. A couple of hours would not have made a difference. Seems like it was her way or the highway to be honest, although I don't doubt John loved her. Why on Earth he allowed her equal contribution to the first album in 5 years is beyond me. Her music is, I guess, an acquired taste that most people have not acquired.
Reading all the books written by the couples fired staff, and staff that decided they no longer wanted to work for them, you realized the secrets that were kept. Yoko being a herion addict up until the very end, having to leave the hospital after giving birth to Sean, afraid the authorities would take him away from Yoko and John, because the baby had herion in his system. Yoko moved her lover soon after John’s murder, for over 20 years and longer. She didn’t love John, only money. Sad to say. RIP JOHN.❤

According to Fred things weren't rosy as the public was lead to believe. Take it for what it's worth but according to Fred, Yoko was approached a couple of times regarding extra security for the couple as John was becoming more and more visible. Yoko made these type of decisions. She turned it down both times, one being on the final weekend before his murder.
John didn't understand how famous he was. Or that he could be hurt. This whole time I wish he had used body guards. They could have secured the perimeter and stopped the asshole that shot him. Ya this was very unfortunate. Who knows what would have happened had he survived.

His last weekend before he was assassinated, he was separated from Yoko, shacked up with a Chinese woman. The two deserved each other.
Yes he was, but he was more than that. He was the driving force behind the Beatle phenomenon. The others will tell you that. Look at all the music that was made because of the Beatles inspiration. John was the world's first Rock Star. Michael Jackson copied his look. John was the most significant person of the 20th century. Bigger than Kennedy, Elvis, all the presidents. Even bigger than the first man to step foot on the moon. That's why Mark Chapman wanted his fame. Why he was willing to spend the rest of his life in prison.

She duped him right from the beginning.
That assassin at first didn't have Lennon in his sights. He wanted to make a sensation to impress his crush on a Hollywood starlet. He originally was going to shoot some other famous person.
John's getting shot was his own fault. When he was being interviewed the DJ asked John where he was living at that time & he told him he was living at the Dakota Building. When ur someone u never give out your personal address, there R too many strange people out there. On that day when John gave out his address, Mark was listening & shortly made plans to fly to NY To find him to kill him which he did. Mark emptied the entire clip into John's back & his last words were-"I'm shot." John had just turned 40 in October 9th & was shot dead outside the apt bldg on 12-8-1980 early evening. This December 8-2025 Mark David Chapman will be in NY Prison for 45 yrs. Was born 5-10-1955 & will be 70 on May 10. This too hurt me, I was at work that day waiting to start when a co-worker came in & said, "John Lennon was just shot dead." U see he was my Beatle too & on that day that cut deep with me. Sometime later George Harrison then passed on from smoking. So now, it's just Paul & Ringo.
John and Yoko were both married to other people when they met. They also each had a child from those marriages. They cheated, ditched their former spouses and kids to be together. Later John also cheated on Yoko with a Chinese woman, May whom he moved in with for a while. I like John the musician , not the philandering selfish man…
I’m not a fan of her attempts to be a music performer, but living through his murder and raising Sean without him is awful. And everyone may not have agreed with his stances, but he was a talented, peaceful and loving person. We could use more people with those qualities.

Total Bullshit
I remember that day as if it were yesterday. I truly wished he had remained in England.
Really, Harrison was attacked in merry old England....
@@PaulFormentos Would Mark David Chapman have flown to London if John had lived there? I don't know but he definitely would not have had a gun to kill John that's for sure. If it was a knife he might have survived like Harrison did. Instead he had a gun from a sick gun culture in the United States...sickness that killed John Lennon.
@@PaulFormentos Home invasion style assailant...not always so merry. I would have much preferred him to live in Hamburg and continue his relations in the artistic culture there with Klaus Voorman and the club owners who contributed greatly in his early years, rather than go off into the abysmal direction he went from New York to Los Angeles, etc
George was attacked in England

If you look the distance beetween hawai and new-york it' a long way ...
*You think what most people do who've been primed by the media (regardless of your 'independent' mind)*
If only the truths could and or would be told...maybe one day?

John and Yoko, loved each other, even during his, "Lost Weekend"
Yoko is really strong, she saw John, murdered in front of her, then having to tell, Sean a 5 year old, daddy was never coming home.
Many people don't know the story of Yoko. She is quite a woman, and has gone through a lot of difficult things in her life, but has managed to stay positive.

By supporting John's decision to punish Julian for no reason. Yeah positive
I agree 💯++%. I love all things Yoko Ono. ☮️+💟
She's such an articulate smart woman❤ RIP John Lennon
I absolutely love Yoko Ono, she is breathtaking and an original... Nothing fake about her at all. John loved her very much and both had experienced a lot of trauma and Yoko was the more stable... Love them both, they are perfect as they stand and stood.... 💖
You can never forget what happened, but you can heal from it. 🎉
Horrible blow to the whole world, never forgotten, Extreme gifted
As controversial as she was--and she certainly wasn't always nice to many people--it really got to me when she mentioned not changing anything that John left behind like that pack of cigarettes. It's great to hear how she thought about the effects of his murder. People say Yoko had a hold on John, but now we understand the hold he had on her.
I believe that too. Had he lived in Tittenhurst, England, which would have been normal, having bought the property in 1969, John could still be alive today. He certainly would not have been killed by gunfire in that way.
George Harrison was almost killed in his home in Friar Park. One never knows where evil lurks.

If John was poor but still a genius, would it have been different?
Yes.

Audrey, you are so far from the truth. Yoko Ono is literally a powerful witch. She used to go to witches meetings in New York, driven there by her chauffeur. The wailing in her songs is the outpouring of her witch heart. This is why she sounds as she does. Normal people never sound like she does. She is very, very with the dark side. Bizarre!!!
Wow I didn’t even know this!

It's true if he lived in uk he would have lived to a natural age
Read Fred Seamans the Last Days of John Lennon. Fred was Johns personal assistant for about a year and a half before his death. According to Fred things weren't rosy as the
public was lead to believe.
Don't forget Yoko witnessed a horrific bloody murder right in front of her. He gurgled blood and expelled tissue after being shot 5x. She will never recover from this nightmare.😢
