Know your methodology / don't just focus on tools, and apply for everything - I know there's a lot more in this video, but these are the two points I took away. Amazing advice, thank you!
Good advice here. I just had a technical interview for a jr pentest role after a technical assessment (report based). Most questions were based on the assessment and methodologies in random scenarios. I did get some curveballs about mitigation tools which threw me off tbh. I'm about 80% through TCMs PEH course and the AD section really helped. I got a situational soft skill question as well.
that's very interesting. I was going to give up my dream about being a pentester because of the requirements (like job experience, etc.) written on the job offers. but thats nice to hear
Created everything that was mentioned here just because of this video. I don't know how to thank you for all of this. You don't only teach the content, you are a source of inspiration. Have to give you something back after I've achieved my goals. Watching this video every morning as a motivation since a month. You are by far my favorite youtuber
Found your channel tonight and absolutely love it! I’m currently studying for my Cybersecurity degree in Data analytics. Keep up the awesome videos man!
Good video as always. I have to say the only 2 things I'm most scared of is my writing skills and explaining my thought or even the report. That's the only thing that scares me.
Another great video from the GOAT himself. I had many jeopardy like interviews and I failed all of them miserably. Just keep being passionate about the field and pursuing it. Someone will take a chance on you.
Awesome video. I'm a newbie in the pentesting field and I'm likely gonna face a ton of interviews. So far I've been in two of them, and one is ongoing. Thanks for your advice, Heath!
@@TCMSecurityAcademy I ain't got no superstition, but I feel watching this vid gave me enough luck and motivation to land the ongoing interview I mentioned! Seriously now, HR staff remarked I was incredibly driven and thus capable for this job (a trainee job with junior pay, which will turn into a junior job with senior pay _and_ a downside: will need to do a rotational 24h shift with WFH during weekends and nights).
Hey Heath, thanks for sharing all good knowledge. One more query I am having, I am network security engineer with 5 years of experience basically working on routing, switching, Firewall( Checkpoint, Fortigate), Wireless. Would it be good for me to get into Pentesting field? The dilemma is to go whether for OSCP or CCIE Security. Hope you will answer.
Getting my Cyber Security degree and studying to get my Security + Clarification right now. But i do want to learn more Hacking, but my school don't have any class for it.
This is epic! Thanks for this vid. Lol I'm preparing for an interview and funny is that they didn't even give me a chance for this although the qualifications are just minimal but anyway they still encourage me to apply again and I'm trying to prepare for it 😅
once again a much much needed video, i would appreciate if you would share some tips for freshers, like i was in networking and network security monitoring for couple of years now, switching myself into cyber security how and what must people like me to develop their skills as PT . Thank you once again for this video, i'll do my research but would appreciate if you would help a bit.
Very useful information. Thanks a lot. As a pen tester do we need to get expertise in all these areas 'Network', "Web", "cloud", "Mobile" pen testing. Is there any open free lab for learning pen test on cloud.
Just wanted to say, i had a technical interview this morning for App Pen tester, and this video really helped me out. Thanks man! i think it went well, hoping i land the job. I dont have any work experience in this field but i think i answered a lot of their questions well!
hey heath , keep up the good work and also thanks to u and ur vids i have confidence and motivation of learning pentesting .and also im giving my OSCP the coming summer. i can't give it quicker as im only 17 and i have to tell u that u have been a huge part of my motivation. but im still very far from taking an interview anyways thanks for the effort u put in

Which position would you suggest as internship looking for cybersec companies?
Any type of security intern would be good.

I’m currently hacking a virtual machine for a job interview process. It’s been a rough few days but I love it. I learned so much from the simple test!

Great video! Do you recommend people who are some what new to pen testing to do ejpt before doing oscp?
I know a ton of people have done that exact path and been happy about it.

Not that I'm tracking unfortunately.
I'm learning a lot watching your videos, your experience is valuable, man 💙

So I completed security plus what should I do next to be a pentester. Please reply:)
This helped me so much. I was waiting to apply for jobs until I got the certs that I wanted. Thank you so much.
The side affects of starting a blog: You will learn a lot more about web applications if you have to protect your own.
Your the best, i bought your courses i passed my oscp your content helped so much God bless you
