    Th second verse was based on his actual experience after he got shot five times. He checked himself out the hospital he felt he was a sitting duck for them to come back and also with his family having such a strong political background ; he felt they would try to kill him

    It’s ALOT of Tupac material out there as he recorded thousands of songs in his lifetime. So much so that after his death, his estate released more records of his than when he was alive. I think it was something like 7 or 8 posthumous albums and it’s STILL a bunch of other unreleased material left.

    California Love was his celebration song. He was just released on bail for a crime he didn’t commit . He grew into a man in California. He was born in East Harlem and Raised in the Bronx. Then he moved to Baltimore where he studied Performing arts, ballet,drama. During his senior year, he was sent off to cali by his mother while his younger sister stayed with their mother in Baltimore. His mother couldn’t keep a job in New York because she was apart of the Black Panther Party and because of this, jobs were not tryna keep her. Causing pac to go through a lot of poverty

    Tupac - Unconditional Love is amazing song, also Tupac - Life Goes On...... The rap music today is about numbers and views, Tupac was about moving a generation and giving a voice to millions of people that dint have one a revolutionary that was real and spoke what he felt in his heart not what he thought people wanted like today

    I lived during Tupac's journey and I absolutely enjoyed your review and reaction! And I understand that hearing his music now is what you expected. I am older than Tupac and as a Black mother, I did not allow my children to listen to Tupac's music because of the media's portrayal of him. My oldest tried to convince me that it wasn't how the media made him out to be but I wouldn't listen. Now like you, hearing it today I see that I missed out on walking that journey with him although I was there all the time. I absolutely love his music and I regard him as the Goat of Rap/Hip Hop, bar none!

    Good review my guy... LA native here.. I grew up listening to all of the West Coast Artists. Tupac was more of a poet than a rapper! I have every one of his albums. Been listening to him since the early 90's. He has so many great tracks. Such as: Heartz Of Men, Changes, Hail Mary, I wonder if heaven gots a ghetto, Thugz Mansion, I aint mad atcha, You can't C me. Just to name a few. The music of today lacks substance. I only F wit the 90's and early to mid 200's Hip Hop. The new shiat is garbaggio!

  • @M4ttNet
    @M4ttNet 5 месяцев назад

    2pac was just different. Sure he rapped about the typical stuff. Drugs, sex, thug life etc. Though he also rapped about seriously issues and perspective and did so with a lyrical genius. He said it like it was and didn't apologize for it. As a white kid in the 90s mostly focused on Christian music etc and though I was in a big city I lived mostly in a White bubble when I got exposed to his music I just got drawn in. Was a whole other perspective, a whole other world. It really changed my perspective from that point on and I feel like I was much more open as a person the rest of my life because he just communicated this other perspective so well.

    Yeah, like any other genre of music rap has many different subgenres. For example, two more recent rappers that made more socially responsible music is Lupe Fiasco and Kendrick Lamar, who are more on the backpack or conscious rap side of things.

    Learn about him his life and music and what he achived in 4 of the 5 years he was famous. To put people like biggie or whoever else in the same league as 2pac? Is ridiculous. When pac rapped with flow? Hed smash biggie!! He chose to rap from the pit of his stomach and make change. Over 750 songs, movies! World records and more! In 4 years and was shot 5 times and spent 1 year in prison on bs false charges.

    “Current Day” “Modern Day” Hip-Hop/Rap even RnB is straight up Dogshit! Late 80’s to just after mid 90’s was the Mount Rushmore with all the greats competing & 2Pac is still The GOAT 🐐 to this day 🙂
    Fizzy Drake & all these clowns 🤡 are so mid compared to the greats, it’s not even a conversation I would entertain. Fizzy Drakes recent Piss Track (Diss 😂) was like a child’s nursery rhyme. Embarrassing tbh.
