You might be thinking of Ed King or Paul Cellucci, two former Massachusetts governors who both passed away in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Dukakis is 89 this year. Along with Jimmy Carter, he's one of the earliest-serving U.S. governors still alive today.
Yeah, don't defund but community policing was a failure. Look where we are now. I did a lot of community programs as an officer and when protests started, the groups I worked with protested us. Proactive policing is what brought down crime. Broken windows and bail will bring crime down. Not shaking hands and going to community events.
I've never been an officer, but I can see how that community policing can go south real quick. Especially if there might be a potential of perceived favoritism. I saw a similar type of community policing in a town that I lived in. I noticed that the police were real friendly with the homeowners, the fire department, certain businesses and local politicians. But, there was a large homeless population and they were assigned a "homeless taskforce". I never had any interactions with any until I became homeless and that's when I found out what the "homeless taskforce" was. It was led by code enforcement and a detective and they often just went around with a couple of regular officers to tear down tents, do warrant checks, make the homeless get up and move if it appeared that they have been sitting in one spot too long and write lots of tickets. I was very disappointed and realized they were not our friends, but seemed to be working against some particular people.
How much of this crime increase is due to those released from prison during covid? I cannot believe they have all been returned to serve their sentences.
Almost 21 years since 09/07/00, Mr. Dukakis remains the Crazyman’s de jure superior, so long as the most important day in Boston history remains undiscussed. The Duke’s continued official superiority after 21 years of his inability to recognize a reality similar to that which Neil would see if he walked out of the studio and began looking above the first floor, north of 54th St., gives me hope that a placeholder and substitute reality remains alive and strong after all of these years. Regular Tiberian rocks at keeping the Crazyman’s lab open. I used to see the Duke a few days a week along Brookline’s Muddy River. I can’t even print what was said. I am laughing too hard still. I saw John Kerry there once too. Kerry got a “big giant F” too.
@ 4:50 dude Democrats are all the same. There is no one different. So the number does not matter. This guy is the typical delusional democrat. He really thinks there is variety in his party. Delusional to the max!!!
If Dukakis is a voice of moderation, the dems have gone off the rails!
Right? Lol
I LOVE all your late wife's art (drama) work, Mr. Dukakis
💯
Yep!!
@@mo1240 that's actually his cousin. His wife is still alive.
LOL!!! My aunt still has the Dukakis/Benson bumper sticker on her station wagon!!
Actually Mikey Rudy Giuliani was the Best at Police Programs. Clinton was trying to make sure that he was safe. He was anticipating jail time.
I swear, I thought he passed away years ago...

Your Party has LOST THEIR MINDS MIKEY 😂😂😂😂
Defund George Kirby!
Well they have started fired bombing houses. So I suspect everything is going to start getting good
DEFUNDING the POLICE would be like the Professional Football games being played without Referees. The game would be destroyed!
Love this SPORTS ANALOGY, you are 💯% correct
He thinks Biden is doing a good job! Are you kidding me🤦♀️

You need a much larger force if you want community policing.
The USA is so great even the people who hate it won't leave
Soon they wont let you leave if you hate it.
Dude you have said this on at least 3 videos. Get some original content
I always thought Michael Dukakis is of Greek ethnicity not an Italian American🙃😉 and he is...just looked it up, Idk about Neil Cavuto commentary 🧐🤔🤫☺😎
Everyone loves hypnotoad.
Dems should listen to Mr. 111 Electoral Votes...
He actually won 112 electoral votes, but one faithless elector voted for Lloyd Bentsen.

Maybe cities need police, I agree with that...... but small towns DON'T need police acting like it's a city..........
About a year too late.
Oh yes, because if anyone’s opinion is needed here, it’s old man Dukakis 🤪 Why not speak to Ralph Nader while you’re at it 😂😂
