well worth it if you can also if you willing to part with your old ds thats should cover most of the costs minus about $50ish either way any 3ds system is great!
America seller: terrible condition system, scupt up with scratches that may look like it just came back from a war $300 - $400 Japanese seller: Nicely mint, clean system with box and all the inserts and maybe even the receipt that they put in the box and forgot was in there and package up nicely, even include some tea packets and maybe even some stationary saying thank you with a little drawing $160 😊✨
I bought 4 Japanese ones off ebay last year. All ranged from $120 to $150 counting shipping. All were in fantastic condition, the worst one just had a few little scratches on the touch screen that aren't even visible when the screen is on.
I got a Metallic Blue New 3DS LL from Yahoo Auctions (don't remember if I used Buyee or Sendico) and spent less than the cheapest US New 3DS XL I could find. Got that thing modded with Loopy's capture card and CFW, and it's great!
I’d be wary of buying Japanese DS consoles. I’ve bought a total of 8 and all but one of them suffer from the following: Grossly inaccurate description or photos, I’ve literally bought DS consoles that were 100% not the ones pictured, and they were in egregious shape. Cracks in the shell, weird dirt or oil marks that couldn’t come off, large and deep scratches, etc. Shipping costs can be very expensive and it this becomes even more problematic with trying to an attempt a return A lot of them suffer from yellowing screens or dead pixels on the screen, I heard this is because Japan being an island suffers from bad humidity thus causing these issues with the screens. Now with the 3DS this can be somewhat fixed with tinkering with Luma’s screen filter options, but it’s still going to be off If you’re looking for a better priced DS console I say this is the best route, but if you’re looking for a console in good or great shape I’d suggest buying from other places.
I have a plain 3DS from 2011. remember wanting a new 3DS XL in 2020. But I was like ehh I dont wanna spend $100. I regret that lol

At this point japan sellers are aware of thepopularity of 3ds and demand so the prices are getting higher too

Do British people not have access to general information until years later or did you just find this out?
Even the Japanese system are pricey.
Yeah it’s still not as cheap as a og ds or like a Wii some other options to consider are fixing a broken 3ds or honestly just emulate it
@beachbaIIs I already have a new 3ds. But yea emulation is thr cheapest.
@@checob224nice me too!
I bought a 3DS from Japan for my ex-girlfriend that was in "junk" condition. That thing was almost immaculate condition.

Still vibing with my *purple camera filtered* New 3DS.
I'll take your advice if I ever want to buy one of these. Thank you!
I just want the regular DS.
It could play GBA games and DS games, what other handheld do you know that has backwards compatibility?
the 3ds can also play normal ds games too aswell as gba games via a software mod
