Learnt some more things since this guide was made! 1. The specials aren't random, they're dependent on where the first rocks land. If the rocks land east and west, it's going to be lightning first - if they land north and south it's going to be rocks first. 2. There are actually more attack phases! I clearly didn't experiment enough, I said attack phase 4 was 1t with all 3 styles but that is wrong, attack phase 4 is 1t with ONLY range and magic, then attack phase 5 (Yes, 5!) is 1t with all 3 styles. This means you can feasibly tank the 1t range/magic attacks for an extra dps phase before dealing with the specials, which does help out a lot! Very clear guide man, i was just spaming the smoke attacks and hitting it from the back. Another thing that helped me was swaping the slay helm lol, still had it from the puzzles and the extra dps was necesary for me. ty for the vid

She did say shadow tho. Althought its only natural that smoke could be associated with consciousness loss, and obviously breathing problems (looking at you, Abyssal Sire with your respiratory systems). Shadow makes no sense to me.

I barely made it through but I have over 100 kills on this boss, Duke, and vardavis... I have 0 on whisperer because the room gets glitchy for me and my clicks arnt registering and for some reason, is anyone else having this issue?!

It seems like if the 2 rocks spawn on North/South of the Leviathan before you backstab it, the rocks special attack will be used. If the 2 rocks are on the East/West, it uses lightning.
if you have a webweaver bow, and get into the orb in the enrage phase fast and dump spec attacks, you can almost instantly delete the boss and most of the time skip the enrage! other then that great guide dude
Yeah there has been some new discoveries since this came out, for starters the final phase orb makes you 100% accurate, so blowpipe is also very good on it when stood in the white orb!
You can "wooxwalk" the lightning special. Just have run activated and repeatedly run from left to right until the attack is over. Not sure if it's possible to weave in attacks efficiently when doing this but this is what im doing.
Basically yeah, dont even need enough damage - whenever it turns to 1t smoke spell it and hit from behind, only issue with low dps is a lot more special attacks but it's manageable!
@@Tellacon ye u no what it is mate I’m mobile only so this has been a challenge took me 10 hours to complete I seem to be fine until it comes to one slip up n then I’m gone I do think they need to slightly slow the attacks up abit but I’m also tired so it could just be me .I’m off to bed and tommorows a new day 😂😂😂 great guide tho

Currently starting dt2 and get my quest cape. First time in 20 years have I near 2k total and quest cape completion. RuneScape died to me when eoc came out and I quit. I made this account year and a half ago on osrs and I’ve done more this last year and a half than i did for 20+ on RuneScape. Being an adult and playing the game with no xp waste hits different than 9 year old me killing cows for hides to make 100k and walk around school like I was the shit

@@Zehiret I'm not even kidding when I say I went through 9 fights using ruby bolts e, and It never proced a single time. I genuinely thought it was not possible. Ended up just using diamond, but they never proced either. I have no idea why they wouldn't work. With my assembler on I went through enough bolts to lose 46 ruby bolts over those fights. 0 specs. I dont understand.
This boss and the Strangler (w/e his name is) seem really RNG dependent on the last phase. If you hit hard last phase they are easy, if you don't they shred you. Also, Whisperer is harder purely because you need a Shadow or it tells you to go and get fucked.
