It was a nightlife center and restaurant bar area of Atlanta. What??? He must mean in the late sixties very early 70s.. this tells me they have no clue on how to really incorporate this into the fabric of the city's core. What happened to the apartments/condos in the plan from the other developer? You must have more people living downtown for it to become a vibrant City core and Underground Atlanta. It will never be a tourist destination unless it's authentic and has life around it 24/7.. You know with people walking their pets going to the local bars and restaurants as well as just mundane offerings like a damn grocery store. Is just another developer sitting on valuable property he has no clue what to do with it or probably really doesn't care.

Underground Atlanta has always been the place for businesses go to die. Since at least the 80’s.
the developer new it was way too much to take on and pulled out.
It should have never been so to the South Carolina company that only had very little Urban Design .
