We need background information on Kevin and Jack. We see them every week and we know nothing of their stories. I think it would be fascinating to hear a little about them. They seem to be very skilled craftsman.
They come from an ancient family line of Pyramid builders. When building stone triangles was found not to actually take gold to the afterlife they took a economic hit and traveled westward to the British Isles helping upstart religions with thier own stone work like Stone Henge, later Castles. Unfortunately being from the dessert the rain was too much and they eventually settled in Portugal and started a home building company.
I agree and said this in an earlier episode. I think it is time to make skilled craftsman famous. We need more craftsman around the world. The crafts are being lost.
There will always be people who comment about what they feel is right or what they know to be facts. But you guys are in another country with its own rules working with locals who know the rules and what to do. Happy to see such progress. Keep smiling from the U.S 😉
Fernando needs to be added to ur into especially with him in EVERY shot possible! That little boy is ROTTEN! He is taking over the property! So precious and sweet! Ur home is going to be beautiful. Hopefully the weather will stay good!
Today’s video is particulary touching. You captured the beautiful working hands of your stonemason and the detailed workmanship that goes into precisely handsawing and chipping the massive beams with his old wodden mass. It is always such a pleasure to watch you guys. 🇨🇦
That stain makes all the wood grain pop out! Absolutely beautiful! You guys are really making a gorgeous home for yourselves. I hope and pray that you will live à long and fruitful life there.
My partner and I love your project! Don't be disheartened with the small bumps along the road that you face! We always look forwards to watching your new updates on a sunday night. We can't wait to see the project complete!
Veranda looks amazing and it should help hold the roof on for the next torrential rain storm. Fernando is hysterical. He an Ginngie are adorable. It will be beautiful when you are finished. X
Greetings from So Central Indiana on the Ohio River USA. Your home is going to be a work of art. Interesting how Portugal builds houses and makes total sense. B, the sanding is a wretched job but when you put the stain on , all your hard work came thru. Here in our area there was a Chestnut tree blight years ago. I haven’t seen Chestnut timber before (I’m 66). It is so beautiful. Slowly our trees are coming back. Theo your face was like a kid on Christmas with your tractor. It’s been so well cared for, new tires, new paint job, that engine purrs like Fernando. In my state, we call that mower part a BRUSH HOG. BRUSH HOG is both noun and verb. I watch your post every Sunday. Stay safe and stay well. God keep you.
That stain is beautiful! That tractor is too. What a huge help that will be in many many ways. Fernando is the cutest and Gingey Bear is so adorable. Love your videos! Thanks for sharing!
The craftsmanship you are putting into your house is stunning and beautiful. It is something that will be standing 100's of years from now and will be a testament to both of you.
Hi Guys! Excellent choice of stain color. It makes the natural beauty of the wood "POP". Don't mind the naysayers. Remember that YOU are the ones that will be looking at it every day so it must please you. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. We really do love you guys. Praying for the rain to hold up for you.
Kittens are so spastic...it's wonderful! Hahahahaha! SO glad to learn the damage wasn't as bad as expected! The struggles are just stories you get to tell with a smile once you have achieved your goal. Sending all the best from America!
You guys are a testament to hard work! What a great way to show our younger generations that anything is possible with a little elbow grease! Keep up the great work you guys!!
I’m so glad you all are hanging in there. I do understand the exhaustion your going through. I was pregnant when we were redoing our old apartment. I remember crying feeling so tired that one of our sweet friends painted our kitchen to help out.I was so blessed by that. It is your home, once the home is safe you can pace yourself. Keep on going the tractor is great so glad you’ve gotten that.I will pray for you two keep up the lovely work . I always look forward to check on you two every Sunday morning. Give Gingi and Fernando a fluffy hug of love.
I live in Ohio, USA. I love your barn remodel. We have building codes here as well, you must continue your project according to your local codes, not what others say. I'm anxious to see the finished project. Have a blessed day, stay safe and healthy 🙏👍👌🙏🇺🇸
So pleased that the damage caused wasn't too awful. The veranda looks great. It's going to be so awesome sat on there, watching the sun go down. It's going to be so worth the blood, sweat and tears.
I just could not wait for this week's video. I always enjoy watching the craftmanship that goes into building your house. Just nothing fast and slap-happy. Congratulations.
Theo and Bea, I don't comment all the time, but I have to say I'm sooo proud of you !!! What a hard job to make the life you want !!! Kudos to you for your perseverance through all the ups and downs you've been through to live your dream. I'm sooo in awe and sooo proud of you both. This might have caused sooo much stress for another couple to split up, but your going on keeping on and I'm sooo proud of you both. Your love for each other is stellar !!! Keep going my friends. You're doing it !!! Much love !!! Blessings 🌞 🙏 ❤️ 🤗 🌞 🙏 ❤️
Boys and their toys. I love how precise Theo is. That tractor will last you many many years. It’s really looking amazing. Much love and positive thoughts.
Wow! Thanks guys! It's amazing watching hard-working craftsmen. The tractors amazing. Such a beautiful place. The veranda looks incredible. All the best.
What a great pleasure it is to watch these gentlemen construct your barn and ply their trades. Had to chuckle at Theo on the tractor...boys and their toys.
Brilliant choice of stain, came up just lovely. Built a house 25 yrs ago, pretty stressful 6 months. The worst was the roof nailing had to be inspected before the tiles went on, had to wait for the inspector with the 1st big winter storm of the year heading our way fast. Got the roof on by the skin of our teeth and were able to button it up and continued to work thru the winter and spring. Thought we could do it in 6 months but took a year. These projects just keep giving...before, during and after. You learn so much about yourself and build skills of patients and endurance along with the details of building, tons of new skills. And in the end to sit and appreciate the roof over your head and the windows keeping out the rain or on the veranda enjoying the sunset and know what it took to create it is very fulfilling. Hang in there kiddo's, we are cheering for you!!!
That is a beautiful piece of property, keep moving forward you're getting there. Its exciting to watch your piece of paradise come together. Your animals are happy, and you're such a lovely couple.
A big hug from the Dominican Republic. I look forward to this video every Sunday, for me it is super encouraging to see how in the midst of so many ugly things, you are building your beautiful home and starting what will be a wonderful life. Many thanks for sharing this. Cheer up! 🤗🥰💪
Fernando having his silly half hour on the solar panels is priceless 😻 Nice to see him playing with Gingi Bear. The wood stain brings out the grain, the veranda is going to be amazing! . Love the orange Kabota tractor !!!
I'm enjoying your journey, my wife and I sat up until the early hours, waiting to seethe roof on your home,,, so we need to look again this evening ...thank you We're really living this with you guys ..
Theo and Bea are so talented in building and decorating, it's a joy to watch you two create your dream house. When my husband saw the tractor he had to watch too. Men and their tools, machinery, are adorable.
When you first announced the covered veranda it sounded really nice but that amazing chestnut & the mortise & tenon (sp?) style make it even more beautiful than i imagined! This project is one for the ages: really beautiful!!! I can promise that I am not sitting in Southern California critiquing your build, but I AM fascinated by every step. Each week when your video comes out, everything else is stopped until it's finished. Thank you for sharing your amazing vision with us!
Very happy to know that the storm damage wasn't so terrible. I hope that you manage to get everything done without the weather causing any more problems. It's all looking great. 😉
Don't you just love it when people try to tell you 'what not to do'. You are both soooo intelligent and know exactly what you are doing and know what you want. I waited with baited breath for this weeks video, fearing the worst but sighed with relief when the damage was minimal. I'm not entirely sure but I think Fernando may have Lynx Point Siamese running through his veins. He has the distinct M shape on his forehead and the beautiful eye liner. It's lovely to see him and GingyBear reacting with each other. Good luck for next week, hope the weather is 'kind'. Sue, Dorset, UK
I've been watching your videos for many months. I love them all and really enjoy seeing the progress. You also always teach something new, which I like! I do hope you work very safely. My uncle started working on his self-designed dream home which had taken 12 years to save for and get all permits for (it was gonna be everything sustainability you could imagine), when he got a heavy wooden beam on his head and passed away not 3 months into the project. (no need for sadness, it has a place now) BUT... it was so unnecessary. So please do work safely in everything you do!!! And good luck getting the roof done before the incoming rains!!!!
That gentleman doing the mortis and tennon joints by hand is very skilled, I could watch him all day making those and they fitted perfectly. Your little barn construction is coming on beautifully. The day's Theo is referring to is 'All Hallows' Eve' which falls on 31st October each year, and is the day before 'All Hallows' Day', also known as 'All Saints' Day' in the Christian calendar. 1st November 'All Saints day' where you pray for the souls of all the saints and the 2nd November 'all souls day', where you pray for the souls of the dead. The porch or verandah is going to look fantastic, and those beams and pillars are looking beautiful with that stain on. I hope you get all your building done before the weather turns again. Have a great day.
The craftsmanship on the stone & the wood is just so amazing!! I love watching them work! And Theo has found him a new toy with that tractor! Love it! 😊❤️
Hi Theo and Bee - wow loving the veranda !!! It's going to be awesome - Thanks for sharing with us. So funny watching fernando on the solar panel. Tractor is a fab idea saves a lot of time. Sending virtual hugs Chris & Marianne xx
I actually love the stain! When you said darker I thought like espresso dark. What you choose is a really pretty medium tone that still shows off the beauty of the wood grain 👍🏻
You know you've reached adulthood when tractors and his fast they cut grass are exciting! Glad things are going well. And Fernando's kitty energy is adorable!
The front of your tractor Theo looks like a " minion" lol. You both are amazing and the chaps working for you are amazing too! Keep up the good and awesome work on the barn. Omg Bee you will be able to drive the tractor too ! Game changer for you both, keep safe , keep happy, keep smiling, love ya both xxx
Everything is looking amazing..Y'all take a breath n enjoy ur hard work..Theo has a new toy so he will be having a ball clearing everything. Love n prayers for a safe n productive week.
I love that tractor. It looks like it has new tires and is ready for a lot of work. It will be hard to get Theo off of the tractor to do other work. Take heart the storm could have been worse and you all are bouncing back nicely. I love the wood, and the stain you have chosen. Now to just catch that baby cat and hug him hard, he is so darn cute.
Love the tractor, you are gonna love that in planning gardens, grading your road, and as you get a feel for what you want at this property! Go Bea and Theo!
OMG you guys I was so relieved when I saw you today and there was hardly any damage on the barn . I haven’t been able to stop thinking about what happened last week eagerly waiting for your next update. It’s so exciting and I absolutely love the Veranda and the colour of the wood it looks stunning. And I can’t get over how cute Theo’s new tractor is so pleased for you guys. I could sit and watch you all day it’s so nice to have a distraction from all the things that are going on in the world at the moment. xx❤️
I live in the states and when I watch you guys build with the wood and sawing and chiseling it exhaustes me for you guys. I feel like I am watching the pyramids being built. I love your channel and you both always seem so happy its nice to watch. I cam not wait too see how it all turns out! Best of luck during this winter season!
Aww never want your videos to end, just love them. Tractor is awesome and will save you so much time an energy 👍 Bea that stain is beautiful and actually really showcases the grain in the wood. Great video as always 👍🧡🌈
CDC document titled "CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel." dated July 13, 2020. Buried deep in the document, on page 39 of course , in a section titled, "Performance Characteristics" "we have this": "Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available, assays [diagnostic tests) designed for detection of the 2019-nCoV RNA were tested with characterized stocks of in vitro transcribed full length RNA..." The key phrase there is: "Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available..." Every object that exists can be quantified, which is to say, measured. The use of the term "quantified" In that phrase means: The CDC has no measurable amount of the virus, because it is unavailable. 0 virus
I'm so happy you got through that storm with minimum damage, I did feel for you. That veranda is going to be the business. Its a good idea to stain the Chestnut posts and rafters as it goes a very dry grey colour when its weathered. You don't have to stain it every year if you coat it with Danish oil instead. It really is a better preservative. That tractor - lovely, they are such a game changer. Its just too time consuming to maintain the land yearly without one. You are really progressing now.
I love to watch you guys!! I can feel the love you have for your barn. Fernando is so funny and a show off. I'm glad you fell in love with my lovely Portugal
I enjoy watching your Sunday morning updates. Glad there wasn't too much roof damage from last week's storm. The stain on the chestnut veranda really shows off the beautiful wood. Love your chicken and cat updates.
You’re both wonderful and a great team, and your so sweet babies, the new kitten is so funny, I wish you so many blessings and great success in your adventures. The new home is just amazing
I am very pleased to see that you have weathered the storm well and that the damage to your tiny house has been limited. It really could have been worse. By the way, the stain on the wood of the veranda looks wonderful. It gives the already beautiful wood a noble finish and the grain is shown to its best advantage. I hope with you that you can now make rapid progress to make your home winterproof. And don't let yourself be influenced by know-it-alls who are not even there, because they certainly don't know better what is good for you both. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you so that everything now goes the way you want it to. Also today I send you both many greetings from Germany and I am looking forward to see you both, and your wonderful cats (and also chickens) soon in a new video.
Hello guys from the sunny locked down Midlands...not its bucketing down. I love this renovation, the stain on the porch is lovely you can now see the grain on the wood properly, can't wait to see the tiles go on your roof. Oh love the tractor...I think Theo will be lost for hours around your property, bless him boys and their toys...keep up the good work and keep smiling!
I find myself waiting on your videos every Sunday morning. Love seeing all the progress and the animals. I am a fellow crazy cat and chicken lady myself. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. Can’t wait to see when it’s finished
So glad this week was a better one. I agree with others, I love watching the craftsmen working with the wood and stone and the care and detail poured into the work they are doing. Theo and Bea, you are such great stewards of the land and the animals that are your babies. Love, the wonderful work you've done, the team you've pulled together. This project is such a labor of love but also so interesting and special. This is just so ancient a process and so different from the ways most of us are used seeing. Thanks so much for sharing.
I’m so jazzed about this major bit of progress! First, I’m glad that there was only minimal damage from the storm. Second, that veranda! The bit of stained wood you showed was gorgeous. Third, I’m loving that Kubota tractor! Japanese engineering and styling are second to none. Best Of Luck
So enjoying your process. It is obvious that you have done your homework and know what you're about! When in Portugal do as the Portuguese, indeed!!! All the best!
We've had Portuguese and Spanish builders on our building crew for many years. They know technique and precision are so important to a good build . I love watching how they put things together, and it makes sitting under their work that much more enjoyable because you got see it come together. What a great tractor, you'll have that forever. The older ones last far longer than the new ones.
Hats off to all your efforts. Also, I love the way you're so gentle with those proposing "the way it should be done". Keep up the great work and "crack-on"! Cheers!
It is so true, BOYS AND THEIR TOYS. He is loving that tractor. The stain looks awesome on the veranda wood. You really have true craftsman working on your house, I truly enjoy watching them build. I look forward to your posts every Sunday, since we have been isolating they are definitely the highlight of my week. It is fun watching the two kitties do their thing. Stay safe see you Sunday.
So much to enjoy in this weeks episode 😊 Keep going guys, you'll be enjoying a drink on the veranda in a not to distant future and feel superpleased about yourselves, the work you put in and the house ☀️
I remember buying a riding mower/tractor and the fun driving it around the acreage in Colorado with my daughter riding on it. Yes it was great and so I say, “Thanks for the memories!”
What are the hunters hunting for ? I am loving the awning and I cant wait for the Pizza oven 😀👍I am so very glad that the damage was minimal ! And the Cats are so fun to watch !
Congrats on the tractor. A true game changer in the upkeep of your property. Keep doing what you do. Look so forward to Sunday mornings with Theo, Bea and the little ones.
So glad the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been❤ I've been watching all these videos, I think the workmanship has been so wonderful much better than in the U.S. I'm impressed ☺
We need background information on Kevin and Jack. We see them every week and we know nothing of their stories. I think it would be fascinating to hear a little about them. They seem to be very skilled craftsman.
I think the same thing every week when I watch also. Extremely skilled.

I love all the beautiful hand craftsmanship that is going into your home. It is being built with care and skill and love.
Veranda looks amazing and it should help hold the roof on for the next torrential rain storm. Fernando is hysterical. He an Ginngie are adorable. It will be beautiful when you are finished. X

The builders are amazing artists and craftsmen!
That stain on the beams is absolutely gorgeous, great choice, great job, well done!
Nice to see the wood work survived the weather relatively unscathed! 😎 Wow that tractor looks almost new , not bad for 42 years old! 👍🏿
The craftsmanship is amazing. Your videos are a joy to watch.

I cam not wait too
see how it all turns out! Best of luck during this winter season!
You are bringing so much joy to many, many people. You are such a loving, happy couple. Keep going it will all be worth it! xx
The veranda looks amazing. The level of craftsmanship is wonderful to see. 👍💖

Aww never want your videos to end, just love them. Tractor is awesome and will save you so much time an energy 👍 Bea that stain is beautiful and actually really showcases the grain in the wood. Great video as always 👍🧡🌈
Fernando is hillarious!
CDC document titled
"CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel."
dated July 13, 2020.
Buried deep in the document, on page 39 of course , in a section titled, "Performance Characteristics"
"we have this":
"Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available,
assays [diagnostic tests) designed for detection of the 2019-nCoV RNA were tested with characterized
stocks of in vitro transcribed full length RNA..."
The key phrase there is: "Since no quantified virus isolates of the 2019-nCoV are currently available..."
Every object that exists can be quantified, which is to say, measured.
The use of the term "quantified"
In that phrase means: The CDC has no measurable
amount of the virus, because it is unavailable.

I love the wood after it has been stained. Beautiful grain. My heart dropped when I saw the eagle. Please be careful with the cats. 😻😻
It's great to see Theo enjoying his new toy! What an awesome tractor! You definitely need it for that much land. Love the kitties, too!
What a great life you've made for yourselves!! Continued happiness to you!!!
You’re both wonderful and a great team, and your so sweet babies, the new kitten is
so funny, I wish you so many blessings and great success in your adventures.
You both are so inspiring!! You are in my heart and prayers for favor as you finish this wonderful project! Thank you for being real!
I love the stain on the veranda beams! It really makes the wood grain pop! Beautiful!
Fernando trying to play with the chickens! Sooooo cuteeee :D
That tractor looks amazing and looks in great condition like it came out from the factory in the 1970's.
I love that there’s not music over the writing and tool sounds especially the stone work- borderline asmr 😂 really artfully shot.
That brush cutter is an absolute God send the way it takes care of all the scrub.
The skill of these craftsmen is astounding.
I remember buying a riding mower/tractor and the fun driving it around the acreage in Colorado with my daughter riding on it. Yes it was great and so I say, “Thanks for the memories!”
Really like the filming of the work goings on, and the working hands. It's all looking great.
