Iran is a garden of many different flowers. Our friends from Iraqi and Turkish Kurdestan have sadly been so mistreated and brutalized by Turks and Arabs that they think it must be the same in Iran. So when they see other Iranian ethnicities that look like them, speak a similar language, wear similar clothes, have the same traditions, etc. they think they must be Kurds, instead of realizing that they themselves are part of a bigger whole.
In fact, Iran is the birthplace of Kurds. All Kurdish customs, traditions, myths, calendar and even DNA is shared by other Iranians. The capital of the Medes is deep inside Iran. There has never been a time in history when Kurds were not part of Iran. I hope the day will come when we'll be able to put these petty difference aside and recognize each other as members of the same family.

Kurds on the other hand have engaged in massacres against Turks and Turkmen when they had the opportunity. Read the history of Turkmen in Iraq if you want to know what oppression is. Kurdish people are categorized as Iranic people. They are the descendants of the Medes who, alongside the Perths, formed the Persian Empire. And if you see Kurds in Turkey or Iraq, it is due to the fact that Iran lost half of its Kurdistan territory to the Ottomans in the Erzerum war. Consequently, the allies conquered the Ottomans and divided the capture lands amongst themselves and further fractured the Kurdish people who had been separated from their mother country

But the thing they have no idea is majority of Kurmancs (Also majority of Kurdish population speaks Kurmanci) are descendants of Kimmerians and Sarmatians. Meanwhile Laks, Lurs, Gorans, Deylems etc. are mainly descendants of Parthians. Even the linguists clasify Kurdish languages as offspring of Parthian dialetcs. At the end do you ignorants are aware of the fact that Persians were calling Parthians 'Kwrt' or 'Gurd' which in time turned into Kurd? So you slackers are technically much more Kurdish than the people identified as Kurdish today. You better shan't deny your origin and not get asimilated.

    Lullubi = Luristan
A connection is assumed between Gutaeans, Lulubi (also Lullubu or Lullubäer) and Subartu (also Shubur or Subar), who belonged to the same wave of immigration. Since the late Kura-Araxes culture already interacts with the Kurgan culture, it is possible that the Guti were already speakers of an Indo-Iranian language. However, based on the few names, it is not possible to determine which language family the Guti actually belonged to. Although the Guti language itself is only documented by name, a tablet from Emar, dated to the Middle Babylonian Empire, shows that translators were needed for the languages of the Guti, Subartu, Amorites and Hurrians.

Lots of ppl disgruntled about the title. I have no stake in this and will attempt a disinterested defense of it...
Iran is a modern geopolity, but also refers to the land where people have spoken Iranian languages, one of which is Kurdish. In this sense, the Kurds (speakers of Kurdish) are one member of the Iranian ethnic group.
If, however, we mean modern nation state, not all Kurds are Iranian (living within the borders of Iran), And, of course, many attest the popular geography is wrong and that Kurdestan -- which correlates with the areas of Kurdish speakers -- should be a U.N. recognized state.
It's just important to remember that the language being used can vary in function, with the same words alternately referring to ethnicities (biology), language speakers (linguistics), the inhabitants of regions (geography/demography), and so forth (religion and politics segment it further).
Whether the Zands were "Kurds" depends on context -- the video attempts to acknowledge this by explaining the relationship of "Lakh", "Lurs" and "Bakhtiari".
    Let's reconcile our understanding? 🕊️

      @@kral16643 You're completely wrong there.
Laks Have Different language. Laki is mixed Luri and Kurdi.
So if you're a Lur or a Kurd you can somewhat kinda understand what they are saying.
Same thing goes for the Kurds.
Laks can understand Kurdish and Luri not because their language is mixed with theirs but because they have lived with they lurs and Kurds of decades.
It's like Urdu in Pakistan. I can understand some phrases they use in a sentence and figure out what they are saying but they can't do the same for Persian because their language is mixed with Hindi and Arabic.
As far as ethnicity goes pure laks are not the same as the Lurs and the Kurds. But I won't give an opinion on this subject because I lack the information needed to tell you about it (you can search it up). But they are in the same family tree.

Azad Khan Afghan was annihilated in the Battle of Kirkbulakh on 28 July 1751 by Heraclius II, the king of Kartli and Kakheti Kingdom (eastern Georgia). The Georgians had only 4,000 warriors whereas Azad Khan Afghan had a 18,000-men strong army. Despite the numerical superiority, the Georgians obtained a crushing victory.
"The battle started off with Azad Khan gaining an advantage over the Georgians by pushing back their left flank. King Heraclius ordered his cavalry to dismount from their horses to allow them to maneuver in a narrow corridor and ordered his musketeers to hold their fire and wait for his command. When the Georgians were virtually encircled, Heraclius ordered an all out attack at the center of Azad Khan's army, killing Mohammad Khan instantly. The Georgians were able to exploit the confusion and break through the Khan's encirclement with a fierce counter-attack. King Heraclius ordered his men to run down the retreating army of Azad Khan, which they did for as far as 30 kilometres (19 mi), killing and capturing many on their way."

I am curious if you will explore Romans/Byzantines.
I know you explore Middle Eastern history, but mostly I wonder about
    - did Kurds interact with them before (either ancient or medieval, latter also have post-Heraclian Romans and Early Islamic Arabs warring as well)? Mostly since Romans did border at Zagros mountains, both would have interact like either diplomats, raids, or mercenaries.
