At the risk of gilding the lily, I want to share something my pastor mentioned some years ago about Ananias. As you no doubt know, there are 2 Ananiases mentioned in Acts. However it is the description of each by Luke (and therefore the Holy Spirit) that my pastor pointed out. In the case of Ananias (of the Sapphire fame), Luke stated "But a certain MAN named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession...." (Acts 5:1). However when it came to the Ananias who opened Saul's eyes, Luke stated "And there was a certain DISCIPLE at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision...." (Acts 9:10). My pastor's point was that there is no insignificant detail in the Bible and if the one who opened Saul's eyes was called a "disciple" whereas the other was simply "man", it would suggest the latter was not a believer. My pastor postulated that would put to rest any fear any believer may have about being struck dead (as this is post-Cross) for any wrong act. My pastor postulated that this may be the Holy Spirit protecting the church from "wolves". Just throwing this for consideration.😊
The discipleship leader I’m underneath, who’s been listening to Wommack for over a decade also shares this revelation and it would be stay true to The Lord’s Character throughout the New Covenant. More scripture to reference this is Luke 16:9 Throughout this whole scenario the unbeliever not justified by faith is called “rich man”. Lazarus is a believer. I love John Bevere, but he hasn’t got that revelation and I cringe when he uses the man Ananias as an example of the possibility that The Lord may strike a born again believer dead if you step out of line. That’s the enemy’s fear and not the reverential fear of The Lord.

This is ONE of the most critical messages that I have heard. All of those scriptures put together in that sequence is very impactful! It is also very timely for me personally.
It’s important to teach that Authority has power only when is motivated by faith and not fear. If you are exercising authority because of fear for what can happen, you have to come back to His Presence and His Word to be motivated by faith and not by fear, because authority has programmed to work in this way, because you believe what God has said. How would you impress upon a tween this concept? I'm doing a Bible study with Not Consumed ministries with my daughter and it's on prayer - just letting her have some freedom in choosing fiction works, and she likes anime. I don't really get the attraction to anime.
