Poor Ivan.. Greatest Dansuer ever but the orchestra made a huge mistake with the music. I would be so upset if I were him, but he kept going after a three-hour performance. Bravo!

Ivan Vasiliev is a very good dancer but if I were to be honest his pirouettes look very uncontrolled, he is constantly making adjustments because he's constantly off centered on his pirouettes and if you look on his other performances there are many times where he is very close to falling out on his pirouettes.
This is after three hours of nonstop performance.. It's an encore performance

Yes. It's more like circus. He's probably the best athletic jumper with music ever. Fine, if that's what pleases some audiences and him, ne c'est pas?. Personally I enjoy watching him doing all these acrobacies. And when I want to enjoy ballet, I watch dancers.
Чего так вертеться, стукнешься о пол, ходить не сможешь. Канон = это Владимир Васильев, а выкрутасы - акробатика, не нужны они в классическом балете.
among the other things vladimir vasiliev ,that l was so lucky having seen many times at his top in early 70's, was surely not less strong than ivan from a technicall point of wiew but with much more elegance cleaness an style , between them the greatest vasiliev is surely volodia.but also ivan deserves respect for his heart and generousity in performances ,and obviously for his spectacular technique.
