So, if a person reincarnates, why do we have ancestor worship?? It doesn't make to do Pooja, tarpana, etc., for ancestors if they are already reincarnated in a human body.
Ancestors work is reminder to live in thanks die to what we’ve been given through the hard work of the previous generations. Gods work builds onto that so whilst you navigate the new terrain your ancestors upgrade through your new learnings so when they cycle back YOU never left them in the dark but carried them with your for mutual assistance

You are correct, there is no logic or common sense here. Does anyone here remember their past lives? Chances are very few will be able to, so that means THIS life and its memories are all you have, or all the average person will ever experience. The ability to control your feelings, however, are possible - but to conflate that effect with countless lives/everlasting souls - is just manipulating people's age-old search for meaning and comfort in the face of certain death/eternity.
@@rickveda9117 the explanation about not remembering past lives is that those memories are suppressed because the burden would be too much. That said, there are accounts of people who remember their past lives, mainly children. Read about Dorothy Eady, her story is very interesting.
