Yeah, I just learned about the 2019 study that reorganized the arachnid evolutionary tree to show horseshoe crabs (!) as the sister group to these "hooded tick spiders", vs. before, when horseshoe crabs weren't even thought to be arachnids. Was hoping to be able to find video of the Ricinuleis' hood in action, or maybe info on its purpose. Wondering if the hood corresponds with any specific part of horseshoe crabs' anatomy. I did find _one_ other video on the site with some Ricinulei footage in it (if I'm not mistaken), "III Congreso Latinoamericano de Aracnología Colombia", on the naturavision channel. sci-ology's "Defining Characteristics of the Arachnid Orders" also has well-done drawings of and info on them (but no video or photos).
Thanks so much, César, for sharing footage of this rarely filmed beast! It did a great job of showing off the weird way they fold up their legs, and how they kind of use the final segment like a foot.
Then why are you vomiting garbage if you hate it? It's a cool little rare arachnid with barely any study done on it. Don't know why fools like you come to watch such videos if you hate bugs.
I can't believe there's only one video of these animals on the entire site.

I’m so vexed that I’ve never heard of these until today! Amazing little cryptic creatures.

Yo amo a esa especie.
a bit short but great video first time seeing this animal alive.
Their curly legs and velvet look really makes them look like some sort of Muppet creature.
The Nasca lines in Peru have a giant figure of this spider.
nazca source material right there
