  • This was a request by ‪@Vossie81‬ : I would have not uploaded this interview normally, as the German voiceover makes it pretty useless for everyone but Germans. I won't add it to the Interviews playlist actually, but hopefully it can be useful for some people ;)

Hint : keep an eye on my community page, where I post about the updates I'm making :)
Also, maybe check our "new" version of HAIK, with 50 more seconds of content and updated subtitles : • 20191123 - AURORA - "N...

Wenn AURORA an einem Wurf junger Kätzchen vorbei geht, dann sagen die Kätzchen "Oh, wie niedlich".

I'm a German, and the voiceover makes it pretty useless for me, too. I haven't watched TV for a long time and I'd completely forgotten how annoying it is. My brain tries to understand both at once and as a result I understand nothing at all.

Same. Mir wäre lieber wenn sie einfach Untertitel machen anstatt Voiceover aber ich kann auch verstehen dass viele Zuschauer das nicht mögen würden.

I have hardly ever met a German who doesn't speak English well. It makes no sense to do this. Even in Italy they probably wouldn't. And they are much worse off, language wise

I put on the captions and turn off the sound. It's too annoying😊. But then there are these real time captions, which is confusing too. Life is hard😢

Thank you for uploading. Not just this one, but everything - I’ve already had the pleasure of watching and enjoying so many of your uploads.
As a native German speaker, I find the voiceover terrible, not only in this instance but in general. I much prefer how broadcasters in many other countries handle it by using subtitles. Even when it’s a language I don’t speak at all, I would always prefer to listen to the way someone speaks. I believe that a huge part of the information is lost with voiceovers.

lol! She said in the watch party that she was sorry for germans. She was sick during the performance so "that's why it sounds like shit" as she said.

Yeah, you can actually hear it during this interview, in the short instances when you can actually hear her voice.

Synchronization of films and interviews has been standard in German entertainment since after World War II. Subtitles are not that popular. What annoys me the most is that the two interviewers speak as calmly as you would to a small child... (my impression) I understand German and am also into German culture, but this old Persone TV has never been my thing (who else watches morning TV). But I have great respect for Aurora that she has taken the questions seriously and has answered honestly and seriously. I would be running away screaming. The Germans could learn a bit from the English...for example the interview at NME this year!

Doesnt these people who works in TV speak English? Especially when they have international guests. Weird..

Why would they speak english when their main audience is literally 80 year old germans

These people do. But the audience in a good part does not.
