The NEW FrSky Horus X10S Transmitter man! Is it any good?? It's very good! I love mine although mine is the X10. For me it's been absolutely awesome, I feel so much better connected with this radio than I ever had with my dx8. I think it's well worth the money
As far as the case, where the charger goes I have the dsmx module in that slot. And that empty slot should hold a charger unit there. You plug the wall charger into that unit then that unit to the radio.
Nice overview D-RC! That is a nice upgraded radio. Very impressed with the screen on it and how the menus work. I think Frsky is doing well and becoming more popular! cheers bro
Howdy brother :) thanks man! Yep.. the bling factor is High on this one ;) Offcourse the screen is allso very legible.. That might actually be the biggest upgrade to me :$ True.. actually: I think this radio is cheap as beans for what you get.. Cheers!
That is one sexy transmitter! Wouldn't mind having one myself. First need to sell my other transmitters though before. I think it would be a nice transmitter to have for the Paramotor drone ;)
howdy Stef :) Yes you indeed DO need to get rid of them Spektrum radio's :) I'll obviously give you an update after I've done some flying with it, but I think you wouldn't mind having one indeed :)
Discover RC in California just did a Sunday Omage to you fella! Check them out. They offered to buy you ground transportation and a place to stay should you choose to fly out there. They were voted to be the most dangerous place to fly RC Planes last year. I am in the market for an upgraded RC Radio that I can fly Spektrum planes, but not Spektrum. Since I dont fly much in the way of Quads. I was looking at a Spektrum DX 9 with voice. I lose track of time and use an egg timer because I hate hunting for the timer program. I HAVE to use neck strap on my radios because I get involuntary spasms that cause me to suddenly drop things. Its a real pain when handling eggs and really bad when handling handgrenades. I have been looking at the Futaba radio you have. I reakky like my Tactic Radios. The only issue I have is the rechargable battery system isnt great. The blue LED light on the front only works once in a while, then its too bright.I go by two things on a radio. Stick feel and ease of program. I dont care for all the unnessary switches on all transmitters. The rotary dials are worthless in my book. Sliders are total trash. A simple radio, simple switches, mabe one or two rotary switches. No detents are terrible. You did an awesome review! I do like it when the reviews do a fast review of simple set up of how to use the program and you did. Slow start ups frustrate me. Bright screen is a must. Glad they covered the ports for trainer and USB. Battery charge and long battery use is a MUST. Yes,please do a more in depth program video. Did you check out my latest find? Its a Blade Heli from the local Goodwill for $7. I flew it right out of the box! And these kids that ask for free RC stuff....I steer them to my channel so they can see......
Howdy Scott! :) Hahahaha really bad when handling hand-granaded :D Well.. at least you haven't lost your humor over it :) and yes.. I (offcourse) saw the DutchRC omage! :D Wasn't that great?? That will probably help my channel out more then that give-away I did last year :) Thanks man! i do think this is a great radio by the way, even if you would end up never using the sliders for instance.. I would personally definately Not go for a Spektrum, but you know that :)
DutchRC Adventures if you go out there I will also go just to meet you! You are welcome to come to Boston too! I am in AMS a lot too! Peace. Keep up the good work!
Thank you sir :) And agreed.. this feels / looks like a more professional radio :) Good Q! At least Not while I'm reviewing it.. Obviously i run OpenTX on the Q X7, so this way I'm in a good position to compare the 2 as well :)
Hi there :) I Love this radio :) I do have to add I prefer heavier radio's (and I have big hands).. but well.. this is my daily driver.. I kinda use it for "everything"
Hahaha sorry brother! :D Well That is a very good question that I hope to be able to answer after some use.. The Futaba is a great radio, so the X10S will have a hard job replacing it...
You'll never see a Spektrum radio on my channel though :$ I would not want them, even if they gave me one with extra monney :$ So.. sorry, I can't make That comparison
DutchRC Adventures. Can respect that, even with extra money! Thanks for the review though. Lots to consider beyond starting with luckily only the DX6E.
I won't worry you more, with tales of my experiences with Spektrum ;) Have you considered Futaba radio's?? I opted for Futaba cause reliabilty of That part of the equation was the Last thing I wanted to be worried about :$
Haha ehmmmmm! After considering this (for a about a microsecond) I think I should pass on that offer sir :D And having A transmitter is allways better then having NO transmitter.. Right? :)
I agree there problem is i have 2 one is a hobbyking version which came with my bix3. At least dx6i might be old now but still loads of information about it on yout tube and other places Can even do flaps on it even tho it has a 2 position switch and not a 3 posdtion switch like you would normally need and with some mixing its sorted Talking of bix3 what plane did you decide on ?
Ahhh yeah.. I had that transmitter with the Bixler 3 as well.. THAT is a reaaaaly basic transmitter :$ I didn't know the Bix3 allso came with one.. Nope. I kinda think it's going to be the Ranger 1600, but regretably it's not in stock yet.. And well.. maybe that's a good thing as I don't really have the funds eighter right now ;)

Would be more efficient then having all my US viewers come over Here for a meet huh? :D
DutchRC Adventures I would have to say yes, except California is too far for me to just be visiting. expecially on my limited funds.
nice radio and overview, looks like a nice step up in quality vs the x9d / x7
will you put opentx on it?
Thank you sir :) And agreed.. this feels / looks like a more professional radio :)
Good Q! At least Not while I'm reviewing it.. Obviously i run OpenTX on the Q X7, so this way I'm in a good position to compare the 2 as well :)
looks real nice. hope it works out for rs to come. btw, how's that feilun boat coming along?
NOW I have a great excuse for when I crash a plane or what? :D ;)
Ehmm! BADLY! I have not had time (and interest) to do much with it :$
lol. right on
hi can you do a video showing how to add open tx cheers
I Can, but I will first review the transmitter as it came out of the box :)
Hi! How are you finding the ergonomics?
Hi there :)
I Love this radio :) I do have to add I prefer heavier radio's (and I have big hands).. but well.. this is my daily driver.. I kinda use it for "everything"
impressive radio! you're costing me monney all over the place :P
Maybe that Futaba radio is even more impressive though.. which do you prefer?
Hahaha sorry brother! :D
Well That is a very good question that I hope to be able to answer after some use.. The Futaba is a great radio, so the X10S will have a hard job replacing it...
DutchRC Adventures. It is possible the new spektrum IX12 may suite my needs, but will be nice to compare all of them when the budget is right.
You'll never see a Spektrum radio on my channel though :$ I would not want them, even if they gave me one with extra monney :$
So.. sorry, I can't make That comparison

HAHA that extra space is for V1 charger.
Hmm yeah.. that dawned on me After recording the video :P
Fancy swapping for a dx6i ? lol .. . . . . thats all I can afford and was my 1st tx . . waited months for it to go down in price
Haha ehmmmmm! After considering this (for a about a microsecond) I think I should pass on that offer sir :D
And having A transmitter is allways better then having NO transmitter.. Right? :)

They offer Bix3 in 3 versions kit , PNP and everything you need to fly including TX and RX
I got it 2nd hand on ebay and had not been flown
That sounds like a deal to me :)
Spreek in het Engels accent!
Was het de bedoeling dat dat Nederlands is? :)
You payed way to much for this radio from Gearbest. Try Horusrc.com
It was on (presale) offer when I ordered mine :)
ps: the shipping costs from that site would make that option be far More for me by the way..
They offer free shipping
To Europe? (I obviously haven't tried).. and then there is import-duty (but that allso happen when ordering from China offcourse)
