Celebrity Cruises Dinner Buffet Food Tour (4K)

- Take a food tour of the Celebrity Cruise buffet restaurant Oceanview Cafe and see what you can expect to eat there. The selection was excellent with Roast Beef at the carvery nearly every night, dedicated vegetarian/vegan section, chicken, fish, different salads, various Indian curries and Asian dishes, and an impressive array of ice cream flavors plus desserts. You like pizza or want to make your own sandwich- yup they have those. You enjoy cheese- they have a dedicated "Fromagerie" (French for cheese shop). Everything you see in this video is included with the cruise fare. The only thing on our wishlist for this particular dinner buffet would be more variation nightly- maybe a couple more theme nights and also end the cruise with a more memorable final night, and maybe some more shrimp dishes. Still- Celebrity has provided cruisers really good casual dining experience here.
Some of our favorites were:
* the Grill Favorites grill-to-order station (especially when they had salmon & the juicier sirloin steak one night)
* the Scoops ice cream bar- the best ice cream station we've encountered on any cruise line
* Garlic Bread at the pizza station was excellent
* Most of the curries were quite good
* Delicious brownies

Once again another thorough video! Your descriptions of flavors and textures make it much easier to determine if I would personally enjoy the item. And having a description for the items (as well as clear and stabilized video footage) is extremely helpful as well. Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos. I plan to cruise with a group of friends and want to make sure that from activities to food, there's something to satisfy everyone.

A group cruise with friends sounds like a lot of fun! There is definitely something for everybody- I think most cruise lines take into account of that.

You should try it. Some ppl abhor it. I love it. I was on a 21 day NCL cruise from Hong Kong to Sydney. Been to the Eastern Caribbean 2x. The food is good. Some are free, some have upcharge.

Again, another great video. I just booked a cruise on Celebrity Millenium in February. The food looked similar to Royal Caribbean but a bit more creative and upscale. By the way, I like how you seem to take your buffet pictures when you get there. Too often, we see the food prior to service when everything looks just perfect. By the way, on Celebrity ships, when can you get food past 9 pm?
Thank you so much! 😊 Your assessment is spot-on. Definitely like Royal in variety but certainly more upscaled. You can get food until midnight at Café al Bacio & Gelateria.
@@TravelTouristVideos On the Millenium, the dinner buffet was a lot smaller than the lunch buffet but had more than adequate selection and there was honestly no decline in the quality of the food from lunch. At night, they kept the pizza and pasta stations open until 1 am and I think that I closed the place on most evenings.

When going on these cruises especially for the first time and first night, is there a way to easily identify what will be offered nightly versus what is unique? I would want to check out the unique offerings first before filling up on nightly items that might make be full before I get to the unique items
Burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, sandwiches, cheeses, pasta & fruits & the salad bars usually will stay about the same. But the other hot foods can certainly have more variation throughout the cruise.
I try to avoid the buffets on cruise ship because I tend to overeat. You want to try everything. Better to go to the MDR so you get a set portion. And the portions tend to be on the small side
Yeah generally it's hard to resist all the good food when on a cruise, plus everyone kind of want to get their money's worth. It's all about self control I suppose 🙂.

Yup especially if you fill yourself up with carbs
I would go to the buffet for the opposite reason. I can control the portion size, and serve myself smaller portions.
What sauces for the pasta? And was it the same for lunch and dinner?
If I remember correctly, they had Bolognese, alfredo, and marinara sauces for the custom pasta station during lunch & dinner.
