What an EXCELLENT video. Arigatou "I Love Brass"....this is one of your best ever. The sound at the outdoor presentation was outstanding, I hated it last year thinking it was a step down from the previous presentations in front of the city building. The school building that surrounds them now just compliments the great sound they already have, and this is only the 2nd and 3rd year students....'impressive' The shopping mall was its usual craziness, and your angle and perspective of the beginning with the "sea of video cameras" gives a great visual of how crazy it must be to march and film there.....Job well done. The wind club looks impressive, sharp and crisp moves....your slow pans let us get up close with most of them. It was a very cold morning and they did a great job pleasing the assembled audience and those of us thousands of mile away. Was also nice to see the Director/Advisor marching up from with his new D.M. Yes.... this year promises to be very enjoyable & rewarding.
Great Video by "I Love Brass" once again! Always the BEST Videos to be seen by fans of Japanese High School Bands!!!!!! Tachibana has fan all over the World, including here in America!!!!!!
WOW! Look at all those camera's trained on KT during their march through the Mall, and the size of the crowd!!!! Outstanding tribute to Japan's most recognized High School Band!!!!!
les, I don’t know the statistics but I think it’s safe to say that KT is the most recognized high school marching band (or any marching band) in the world period. As good and as popular as bands such as Ohio State University is, they just simply don’t have the world reputation that KT have. KT is loved and recognized all over the world.
@@Kotaro1326 KT Certainly picked up a huge following here in the USA and elsewhere resulting from their appearance in the 2018 Rose Bowl Parade which is shown around the world on New Years Day! The KT fan blog that I belong to has members from all around the world. We fans would love to see them given some kind of role in the Olympic Games in Tokyo! Opening and Closing ceremonies might be a stretch, but something that would allow them to entertain both the public And the Athletes sometime during the games. I'd love to see them allowed to be involved somehow.
les, I am also a very big and loyal fan of KT as well. I watch them practically everyday for the past several years now. Watching them is more than just first class entertainment. They also make me very happy and they bring a lot of joy to my life when I view their videos. I watch KT so much that it’s got to the point where I see them like my own children (I know it’s kind of weird), especially the class of 114, because that’s the class that I’d seen live in Pasadena and La Palma at Kennedy High. I have also visited the blog that you mentioned as well. Lots of great people in there and I enjoy going there. About the Olympics...Japan can’t ask for better ambassadors than KT. It would make me and the world so happy if they could be part of the opening and closing ceremony. They more than deserve it and the world deserves to see them. But we both know that things like the Olympics has a lot of politics and it’s all about connection and who you know. Japan is no different from the United States or anywhere else in the world in that regard...and as great and wonderful as KT are they’re still just ordinary students in a high school marching band to those who make the decisions as to who they want to perform at the Olympics. But of course, we could still hope that KT could still be there. And like you say, even if they’re not the main performers at the opening or closing Olympics, hopefully they’re still there doing something for the world to see.
Of the flag bearers, only one continues. Renovation! The same with the instruments. I can not say that KT is an inexhaustible talent factory. Obviously, a lot of dedication and effort from the students to reach this unequaled level that borders on perfection.
A big thankyou for uploading this video. As i said to Production Sorakara who simultaneously recorded this performance of the Tachis in the first part I like personally this kind of view and do prefer it.
They are beautiful, they are so talented!! And they are so perfect!! That's why I love them most!! Kyoto tachibana SHSband..the very2 best of the worlds! ✌️😉💕🇲🇾
Watching 'P' run around in the back of the Band Hi-Fiving at 4:57 is the highlight of the video. At least she found one person to Hi-Five with. So much fun to watch her. Not that the rest of the Band is not fun to watch. To the contrary, the Band is worth any admission price to watch. I thought though that Sing, Sing, Sing was a hair slower than their usual tempo but maybe that's just me. Still immensely enjoyable no matter what the pace. And at least they were in their customary uniforms for this Concert portion. Instantly recognizable as the 'Orange Devils'. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐KYOTO TACHIBANA SHS MARCHING BAND⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!!!!!!! I LOVE BRASS - 🙏🙏
Well, tachibana attracts crowds has pros and cons too. Videography are getting harder and more dangerous, so are the high quality videos taken by Tachibana's veteran videographers are getting shorter. I hope not... Tachibana really needs a bigger stage/parade to shine :)
I noticed as one girl we've seen over the years has changed her hairstyle. She had her hair cut and no more Ponytail. You can see her playing her Tenor Saxophone front row, first on the right side of Saxophone players at the start of their second song. I don't know her nickname but it would be nice to know. She looks very cute in her new hairstyle.
@@mr.MarvintheMartian No Mr.K....the smaller girl next to her. At the 3:45 mark you can have a good view of her behind the flag girl with her arms raised, but without the flag, over her right shoulder. She always had a ponytail but now its a shorter cut, and it really looks good on her. I didn't at first see the taller girl who was first on the right side.
I Love Brass: Are you able to interview Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School and maybe some Students? It would be amazing and a treat for their fans and may help to recruit new students. Please try in Japanese and English. Thank You on whatever you decide.
I'm sorry but I didn't like this Sing SIng Sing this time. The trumpets sound hella sharp and I know its cold but do you really think they sound good like that? In cold conditions like that, it's not good when a trumpet sounds like that even when doing big parts in the song. Overall I like the first part of the show but TBH I rather see the full band when they get their new members it was an ok performance.
The band is about 20 members smaller than at last year's parade. The flute section in particular was nearly annihilated thanks to a large graduation class and two smallish classes that succeeded it. I suspect they were trying to compensate for the lack of instrumentation coverage. Hopefully, things will improve as the year progresses. But honestly speaking, I think this a rebuilding year for the team.

HEY! It never gets old, may the core music pieces never leave their play list.

Kyoto tachibana!!! Is the best!!
People become more and more popular.
To prevent accidents.
I will wait for April.
Best band.
Love Tachibana!
I LOVE BRASS

kyoto Tachibana band, lo mejor✌
the best of the best 👍

what is the first song they played?
winter games (1988 calgary(CANADA) winter olympic official theme song)
