I was just happy to see some short yardage situations run from behind center, only took a couple dozen embarassing plays for BK at LSU to make the change
Had the High school coach watch QB/RB motion in the PAP in your video, good work Carter using his LSU Power. You know coach was a real nurturer, NOT! He was a face mask grabber and shaker. LOL. He gave Nuss and RB for LSU both below average action on the fakes. FYI he would use shoe polish on both the RB and QB's arms so they would blend in with the ball. He is a perfectionist. Great video.
Run the I-formation 50% of the time .. Garret is very little threat to run the ball using the read option 100% of the time. I also agree with the play action point very much
@@powerhourlsu Honestly Carter, I felt better about Beating Southern Cal.. just not sure we can control the line of scrimmage. Pretty comfortable with pass protection, but outside of that not so much on both sides of the ball. And will we choose to stretch the defense vertically? Run Draws and play action ? Unfortunately Not sure it’s in the game plan.
I don't think there is much hope for LSU running game. LSU just doesn't seem to have a fast shifty running back that can get through a blocking hole really fast. The running backs are just straight away runners with little ability to change direction and dodge tacklers.
Which is why they should be operating under center. You can’t run a shotgun offense and be a run dominant team with bruiser RBs and an immobile QB. LSUs RBs would be great in an I formation offense with a lead blocker in front of them and the ability to get downhill fast. Read option with no option won’t work and these backs aren’t suited for that style anyway. They are not shifty or able to change direction with explosiveness. This is why I’ve already concluded Sloan was a mistake hire. He’s trying to fit the player to his scheme instead of the other way around.
Hey Emily! Welcome to the channel. There are two things: 1) The best way is to tag him and Joe Sloan on Twitter / Instagram (tag me too @PowerHourLSU). 2) Come to my live stream tonight at 5 pm CST! Won't have all that time.
What?
Easy. Stop running into 8 and 9 man boxes. Instead, throw the ball.
