I marched with another corps that year, and we did a fair amount of shows with BD. It was an absolute privelege to watch a corps of this caliber day in and day out, as they honed and perfected this masterful show. It has always been one of my favorites.
exquisite musical stylings....much love for late 90's drum corps. i marched for 5 years in the mid-late 2000's but this is my favorite era. this is one of the most complete programs in dci history. and also.....MELLOPHONES!!!
I'm glad they changed the snare feature at 5:38 for finals. It may just be because I'm so used to the Finals feature, but the one showcased here just doesn't sound as musical, or seem as effectively simple.
If I'd would've known the blue devils was in that area then. I would've got my parents to drive me across the water.. 45min drive. And I would've fell in love earlier.
9:39 is forever enshrined in the dci lead mello hall of fame, haha. that moment makes that whole section of the show what it is. 100% some more good ones are at the very very end of BD's 99 show. one is right at the part of the VHS where the camera's on the drum major urging the corps to finish strong, and then the last one is right before the hits that conclude the show
One of the best BD shows of all time. The book, the drill, the colors, the guard, It was perfection at the time. I still love it!

Awesome show and awesome music for 1997 BD show. Night In Tunisia equals 2 thumbs up. Clean drum work especially.
Damn
Favorite BD show.

I love it when that guy has enough time to fix his shoelace when they're static!!! 😁 👍
I was born 3 days after this. Haha! :D
The drill for the tenors is crazy from 3:26 to 3:42.....
I love all BD shows, but who has 1982 as their favorite? Maybe it's mine because I marched another corps that yr.
KILLER horns in '82.

Is it me or I know for a fact T.J. CLEANED EVERY STEP!

No.
No.
Thanks fellas I figured it out the 3 years I marched.
Casablanca is not in Tunisia.
yeah, good point, but 'night in the maghreb' or 'night hopping national borders in north africa' don't exactly have the same ring to it.
@@jared0111 It might not be in Tunisia but it wants to be.
Shti-reeking Algiers, Shti-reeking Tangiers, Shti-reeking Morocco...it all has a common thread
@@paulblichmann2791 It does indeed. Your stupid fucking racism.
