Hey DKlein, I can't find anything as it breaks googles brain if you search for bike rack for bike with front rack. Lol. Could this Kuat style rack work if all our bikepacking / touring bikes have some sort of front cargo rack or fenders that would prevent the tire lock to rotate all the way up.

Thanks for the review. Serious question: I understand that the wheels and locked in by the arms that prevent the entire bike from moving, but if I unscrewed the thru axel on the front wheel, could I tilt the frame backwards, separating it from the front wheel and lift the frame and rear wheel out of the stand and then slide the front wheel out also?

1up racks are by far the best. Pretty much non negotiable. Expensive sure, but nothing like Kashima ‘struts’. Why? The Whole point of cashima is to have pores that trap oils to make suspension smoother, why the heck would that matter for a bike rack… lol.
Finally, a company putting lights on their racks. I wired my bike rack for lights, because when the rack is mounted behind my motorhome and the bikes aren't covered, the bikes get super dirty, so I use a bike cover. Unfortunately, when I use the cover it blocks off the rear lights, so I need a set of lights on the bike rack. Even if I didn't use a bike cover more lights is never a bad thing.
Maybe I’m missing something, but we’ve had lights & numberplates on car racks for decades in Europe. It’s a legal requirement to ensure anything protruding out the rear is illuminated.

I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...
Finally a rack that comes with taillights. Very important when the bikes cost more than the car they’re on😅. I installed some trailer lights on my rack over a year ago because 3 or 4 bikes on a rack blocks the car’s taillights and that’s scary
I'm amazed at the excitement over lights. In Australia we have to have an additional number plate on the rack, lit at night. If the car stop/indicator lights are in any way obscured, than additional lights need to be on the rack as well.
@@garybell6410 you see that makes sense. Seems like it’s normal in other countries, but in America no one sells a rack with lights. Makes no sense at all
I bought this for my two riese muller ebikes... unfortunately the old Kuat 2.0 was a much more secure rack because the hook to the front wheel was much stronger. The piston pro x uses a thin aluminum for the uprights and a plastic piece to cinch down the tire - it moves terribly, even with an extra strap. Then consider the new system makes no accommodations for fenders.
