Just so you’re aware, taking it off sim to next appearance doesn’t take it off “action pitches.” You need to go into settings and actually swap it to get them to start at the beginning of the at bat.
when you take an extra step when stealing if he doesnt try and pick you off hold down the button to take a step after you’ve already taken a step it helps
as a baseball player myself who hits low in the order but hits consistently the reason u r being moved around is because if players hit throughout the order teams have a better chance of winning.
You don’t have to stop sim to next appearance. There is a setting right below all pitches or action pitches that lets you see every pitch while your on base as long as you have all pitches selected
The problem with that exchange about the steals is that, on the developers infinite wisdom, they removed the practice sessions for baserunning and hitting from the game. Those were some of the best parts of the game.
Hey Trevor you can still get sock bonuses without seeing the socks. You can equip the socks to your player in the equipment section, then go into player uniform customization and pick long pants or stirrups and the socks won’t be visible. (You’ll have to re-do that every time you open bonus/equipment section though or else it’ll reset your socks) Hope this helps!

But I did use collected equipment along the way. First: for best results, put the presentation to fast play. This will put your ballplayer in standing position off of first base (or second or third), instead of the animation of him stepping off. This will make leading off MUCH easier. After you get faster you can turn it back to broadcast. You don't have to do this, but it will help for sure. 1: you only need to take one leadoff step. 2: Keep your player leaned towards second by holding R1. 3: Always have your thumb strattling the thumbstick, being ready to bring him back if the pitcher challenges you. I always have the thumbstick slightly pressed left towards first so I'm ready to return as fast as possible 4: 90% of the time, you'll know if he's going to challenge you. When you're convinced he won't, wait till the very start of his windup. The split second he moves, flick the thumbstick to the right as fast as possible for the positive steal points. 5. Once you're on your way, prepare to slide headfirst with your body sliding to the right of the base and your left hand going in. You need to learn sliding techniques. I believe you press/ hold L1 while moving the right stick up/right as you're approaching the base. 6: the same techniques apply to steeling third but you'll try to get two steps off. Often times on second, the pitcher animation seems to interrupt your leadoff advancement, especially on the second step. If this happens, just crank that run stick to the right during his windup and burn rubber to third. You'll have success with this, too. Sometimes you'll accidentally jump when he throws to your base. Just go! Slide in the same technique and you'll still make the steal 50%of the time and you'll get an impressive comment from the commentator. Note* who cares what they look like. ive goten caught off of first more times this yr than all the other yrs combined !! seems like the lean button sticks and then you cant get back fast enough even if your only off the default steps off base. its been frustrating imo

Hey Trev, little tip for the sock dilemma, so if you put the socks on, you can go into your my player>appearance>uniform and then put your pants to long to cover the socks, but you’ll still be wearing them and receiving the bonus, that’s what I do, cause the socks drive me crazy cause they don’t match lol Also, loving the series man! ⚾️

you should do an episode where any hit to the gap you have to look at your 3rd base coach and pick up his sign instead of switching camera angles to see the outfield!

You don't LEAN when you steal. You don't do that at all. That extra step helps, but you need to LEAN so you get a few more milliseconds to successfully steal bases.
Had the same thing happen in The Show 20 and I continued to steal and got caught and they called me in again and basically told me to stop or else. First game right after I did it again and they ended up benching me for like a week. Lol

With stealing, all you have to do is watch the leg kick. If it's the slide step you stay. If it's the full leg kick, you're golden.
there’s a setting that allows you to change base running settings. you can change it to watch every pitch and only when you’re lead runner.
I think you have base running opportunities set to action pitches only. You have to change that setting to get more stealing chances.
Hold down the increase lead button and your player will kinda lean towards second base. It helps you get a faster jump.

If you want to be on base for your teammates whole at bat you need to go to the rtts options and set the base running to "all" not action pitches
