I have come across 3 very different recipes for prawn blacan: - your one uses a little lime and no coconut - another one uses no lime and fries the onions in oil first - Charmaine Solomon does not fry or roast the onions at all and adds a ton of lemon juice (2/3 cup) Which one is the most authentic? I have no idea. I am going to try a hybrid recipe combining ideas from all of the above :) My plan is to roast everything like you do but add desiccated coconut also. Then after grinding add a bit more lime than you do. I need this to be more sour because my vambotu moju is too sweet.
Is it kunisso
Thanks MJ 💐🇬🇧
