It's prison..they spend your money, max out your credit cards because they won't use their money to pay Bill's, liars, slobs..feel entitled to make me pick up their clothes they throw on the floor, not washing their dishes off and putting them in the sink, control gas in my car so I cant see my friends, not having food I need to support my weight and bones, not liking me buying health or skincare items, watching porn and no interest in me..makes fun of my body since the abuse made me lose 18 lbs..125 to 108..aged my body to sagging..adrenal fatigue..they turn everyone against you and tells people I'm the abuser. Wont help wash and clean the car..they dont like your strengths. He wants me to leave him.
You are so correct about how the y will try to make the zombie go back to sleep. I actually felt like I had been forced into a dark, narrow box labeled piece of shit and any time I attempted to get out of that box I was whipped severely until I got back in. Now that I am out of that POS box for good and recognize what they are doing, I laugh at their frustration over not being able to control me any longer. You my good man, were my greatest source of inspiration while I was tearing the blinders from my eyes. Thank you.

I have been through hell and back and somehow survived, I swore I would never listen to anyone's advice had they not lost their only child! With that said and if we take that out of the equation you hit home with me like no other! I have done years of research and no one has resonated so articulately with me as you have. Henry Ford was smart enough to make sure that his employees and rest of the US were able to afford his cars. This is empathy in business. It is practical but it is empathy. We discussed whether "business" has any responsibility to humanity as per the pure capitalism definition in "business ethics class". This was when GM left Flint MI a ghost town, and we watched the Michael Moore doc.Well I didn't know the answer then, but I do now. They won't have anyone to sell to eventually if companies don't take the Henry Ford principle into consideration.

Thanks for giving me a word for it when I didn't know it existed. My ex was a megalomaniac... he was threatened by my best friend of 16 years who is more successful than him to the point of almost jumping him... I can see now how him cheating on me (and doing other shitty things) was his way of keeping me in line because he knew I cared for him so much so that I didn't care what he did to me, I wouldn't leave. He distorted my reality and made me believe that there could be no one else for me but him, and he wanted nothing more than to be the center of my universe. Luckily I opened my eyes and saw him for who he truly was... Abuse like that really fucks you up. I'm still recovering from it...

Dark Tetrad is based on the suggestion that Sadism be added as the 4th trait.
I would contend that megalomania should be considered before sadism as sadism is often incidental.
But why quibble? A combination of the above makes for a remorseless dickhole of a human being.

I crucially need to hear you speak more on machiavellianism. That just hit home for me and my experience with a complete psycho I fell in love with. It felt like he loved me, I feel so decieved and confused. He was like a predatory, goal oriented machine who used, manipulated and exploited people. Somehow I first thought he was just being productive and effective.
I must say, I love that you don't demonize borderlines or push the stigma many hold against people suffering from bpd. yes there are still malevolent borderlines, but not remotely all of us have the narc or aspd traits to be malicious. so thank you xo

Any time I tried to pick myself up he would knock me down with some form of manipulation.
Currently he is trying to plant a seed of doubt for me with my individual therapist. He even tried it in couples counseling. Trying to touch a nerve with our couples counselor .. he’s biting.. I know better .

I literally was chatting to my auntie about my ex (childrens father) and saying I have no idea why I stayed, why I went back. I said I was so out of my logical mind that I could even go home to my parents, like he made me believe he was it, everything was banished from my thoughts. Drained in just making sure he was happy which was very rare.
Dude has even done this to his own cousin recently. Poor thing went to a mental ward for a psychotic break.
Man I was in hospital a few times wanting to off myself idk if he did that so he could have our daughter to himself. But I got the fuck out with both my children and won sole parental rights. And dude has never to be seen or heard from again. thank you Jesus.
RichardSpartanLifeCoach, I have had first hand experience of machiavellianism, and would be very keen to see you do a video specifically on this personality type. This is the least documented on tube, and in my opinion, from the clips of yours I've watched, you nail these personality traits totally and exactly. You are easy to understand. I wish I would have had someone like you, explaining it all in front of me, when I was trawling tube looking for an answer to something I just couldn't put my finger on at the time. zo zo, Thankyou for your response, most interesting! you seem to have great awareness of your character defects or assets, and of how your stuff manifests itself, my father too was a malignant NARC, so is my brother, I myself am a codependant/addict in recovery, my pattern of relating to narcassists have just been revealed to me after much work on myself and thanks to these blogs, I knew I was dealing with a poisonous snake at some level,.. I'm still sucking out the poison, I say this without blame, I was trying to re-creat the old dynamic to try and gain mastery over childhood struggle
People with predatory traits, we like to demonize (aka bad people) them but sermons like this also betray our fascination with them. Psychopaths, when smart enough are drawn to being surgeons (they get to cut people and get paid for it), they actually end up doing good for a great many people. In spite of their own personal views and belief, unless they set out to do intentional harm. If a psychopath is smart enough to become a surgeon that same psychopath can appreciate need versus necessity.

This a great introduction, i just learned about this term "dark triad", and i was asking myself so many quesions as to how it develops ? what are the symptoms, who is more enclined to become dark, or is it the finality of modern society that everybody become "dark" ? In the movie "The Matrix" people are so inert in the system, even though they would learn the truth that they are slave to a system that feeds off their energy (metaphor of spend/revenue and the energy spent to earn money in order to survive), that they will fight to protect it. Isnt it interesting that all the "marginals" of society, the ones that are declared "insane" would be the most sane of all and fight for truth and justice in a complete rotten and machiavelic system ?

The "man" I knew for 15 years was definitely a low mach. He was also a flying monkey for his mother, who is a truly heinous piece of work - underneath the veneer of public relations she successfully runs - except there ARE those of us out there who have experienced what she really is...
His treatment of me was the exact definition of machiavellian, which is cunning and duplicitous. Utterly deceitful. Apparantly this type of personality is likely to be raised by exactly this type of toxic mother! Thank God I was able to educate myself & stand aside from the destructive beam of hatred they project onto anyone who gets in the way of either their public image, or their image of themselves. They simply do not deal in truth. The "man" I knew finally got cancer & died. No surprise… his mother won the battle, but essentially killed her own son, thereby losing the war. She lost her biggest chess piece. Game over. 2 years later, she is still putting on memorial "do's" etc about him, and attempting to keep his memory (as per it suits her to have put forward for public consumption) very much uppermost in peoples hearts & minds in the local area - like some time honored truly venerated good person! He was just a well known local guy!!! That's all !!!
She will have no idea how much pain and grief and damage she has caused so many people, and ultimately herself too! She is in her mid eighties now, & likely to die soon too. Then their sick game will be well & truely over. Except for the very selective & ultimately false memory of themselves they are determined to leave behind….

Back in the prophetic times or in the medieval times as I have heard a religious priest say from my culture, that there was once a guy who was able to make the clouds rain out of nowhere. When asked how he was doing that the guy said he is using magic, the issue was taken to the religious prophet of that time and was informed of this man that he is able to create rain from the sky with magic and the prophet asked one of the people to approach this man and take out anything whatever he is holding in his hand and ask him to caste the spell with its use. The said person could not perform the magic as he was able to do with the use of bone of a dead person.

So this sort of knowledge is handed down to us by our priests' sermons and lectures in these events. Most of these lectures are about old folklore, spiritual awakening and of celestial knowledge.

Good Riddance !!First question is,,,,,, Do narcissist tend to get worse worth with age ?Second, I know for a fact she has found another source of supply. In factshe immediately moved in with this person when she moved out.What are the chances that she may attempt to reestablish contact inthe future ? Or should I just consider myself discarded ?TIA

I had anti social personality disorder and psychopathic tendencies, but I'm too fucking lazy to act on any of it since the lightening strike. For some reason the pop of leccy flipped something in my soul and personality. Now I have compassion, empathy, and a will to help others. Very bizarre experience.

Ben Urbas yes it is. if you're a timid empathic emotionally fragile butterfly you're not going to fight off hoards of people trying to attack your tribe and take your food, and you also wouldn't be able to take food from other people to survive, and you wouldn't be a very good leader either. this is not the case for a psychopath. just because you hate people with certain disorders doesnt mean those disorders don't have an advantage.

My daughter's narcissist has been hypnotizing her. She no longer answers with, "I think..." but with, "He thinks...", or "He says...", whenever she's asked a question. He has clearly suggested that her existence is only by his permission and her mind is only an extension of his own. Very scary.
