It's something to behold. I got mine back in spring. The last time I had that much of a wow factor unboxing a graphics card was when I opened an 8800 GTX in 2007.

Its funny though, if rnda 3 had better drivers, it be a 4090 performance. The rnda gpus beat the rnda 3 sometimes.
Dude as a 4090 owner. Once you get to either the 7900xtx or 4090 level of performance you are loving it. My son has the 4080 and that card crushes every game he plays as well. I basically boils down to one’s own likes and play style.
I can overclock the hell out of my 4090 but don’t. It’s just not worth the extra heat build up for any card. With the 4090 I personally under-volt it. This keeps it around 350 peak watts and ice cold. I only loose about 10 to 20 fps but at 300 plus frames who cares lol.

Seems like the 4090 ICHILL is longer and thicker than the Nitro+ 7900 XTX card. True?
Nvidea cards tend to be longer, while amd tends to be thicker.
So a big size 4090 is longer but thinner than a big size AMD, which will have always more slots down in size.
So most 4090 will outsize a 7900XTX,just as most 3090ti will outsize in length the 6950XT
Cooling tends to be superior on the AMD cards.

Really want the sapphire card. Bought a reference card, then lucked out and was able to order an XFX Merc from Best Buy. Tried to get the sapphire from Newegg when I got a stock alert but wasn’t successful.

Rather than seeing Navi 31 being huge, I'm more interested in small form factors while maintaining as much performance as possible, this way you can have a cheaper GPU due to smaller construction materials used.
A RX 6900 performance but the scale is reduced by another 30%, from a 2 slot card to a 1.5 slot.
Seriously, you might be better off using a water block if your case allows for it.
I don't know why but except the reference AMD RX 7900 XT(X) cards, all cards from all other brands are ridiculously huge.
@@xstty1355 Because AIB brands prefer to save themselves 100-150 dollars by not ordering a custom made vapor chamber for each GPU.
Vapor Chamber helps absorb specific amount of heat and transfer it to the pipes quickly, than a mere metal block.
If they get the simplest vapor chamber, it would only cover the die itself, the rest is contacting a metal plate to heatpipes.

You can kiss your creative zxr sound blaster audio card goodbye. Or any discrete audio card for that matter. This is the problem with chunky gfx cards. They also put too much stress on the pcie slots.
Those things are outdated anyway. If I want good sound from my PC I grab an external DAC and headphone amp.

If you're letting it put too much stress on your pcie slot then you're doing chonky GPU wrong, when getting one of these big sob's you've gotta give it a brace or support, if you can afford a chonky boi, you can certainly add on a $13 support brace (the nitro+ came with one btw, but the RGB brace I found is a better match for the RGB bar on the nitro+)

It's a tie or loss with the 4090 in some games, like COD MWII, but the drivers still need work, as the 7000 Series is even getting beat by the 6000 Series in some games too, so you'd most likely have to wait for February-March to have all the issues ironed out. In Ray Tracing however, the 4090 floors it, that's just that, although it stoll gets hammock by Fortnite Cyberpunk and the Witcher 3 in the RT tests without upscaling, so I'd say just wait 1-2 more gens for 4K 120fps Ray Tracing Maxed Out.
@@filip9587 the 7900xtx has massive horsepower. Could probably be on par with the 4090 if amd had better drivers. Theres no reason the 69050xt gets anywhere near the 7900xtx.

I had it i returned mines only because the software for it is trash couldn’t even turn off or change the RGB on the light strip on the graphics card but if that dosn’t bother you get it its great for performance and gaming but the RGB part bothered me alot
I just got an 7900xt so its one below and honestly unless you are going for competitive gaming i couldnt see how it could get much better. Im playing on a 4k monitor and getting solid 60fps on games like cyberpunk with raytracing and textures on ultra/overdrive. I got mine at a flash deal at around £600 and so glad i upgraded from an RX590 lmao

I only managed to grab a Sapphire non-Nitro 7900XTX (reference?), I was wondering if there’s a big gap in performance between that and the Nitro+?
as you overlock yes, the nitro is set to 400 watts instead of 355w. But if you win the silicone lottery it may be that you will have the same efficiency @ 400w as nitro+ @ 450w

This is the best card for the 7900XTX in my short time researching best 7900XTX AiB cards. This is the card I would get if I was going to get a 7900XTX.
