- A raw video of a climb up a winding, narrow gravel mountain road, en route Danda Nagraja Temple near Devprayag in Uttarakhand.
My Hyundai Creta 1.6 SX Petrol Auto is fours years old and has covered 39,000 km so far. This is probably the first time I am driving it in the mountains and I found it to be severely lacking in low-down power - especially, when it is in the automatic mode.
The Creta tends to hold on to gears higher than required while climbing and during hairpins, when it should ideally be downshifting to second. Stick it in manual and that gets taken care of.
Apart from this minor irritant, the Creta performed flawlessly on this Delhi-Uttarakhand-Delhi trip this weekend and I was amazed how comfortable it is compared to my Mahindra Thar diesel auto.
Maybe a comparison video is in order.
What do you guys think about this video? Let me know in the comments below.
As always, thank you for giving me your time. I hope you have a great day.
Cheers

I am researching my options to replace my old elantra in 2023.
Likewise here as well. I've got a 2004 Elantra CRDi
Could you drive a fortuner manual transmission, on the same place? PS- your driving is fantastic 🔥
Manual? Eww
@@iamrobot396 Automatic? Grow a pair.
@@sinuslebastian6366 fortuner automatic is best pick , if one's getting a fortuner , coz the manual gearbox vibrates a lot.
Wow! I didn't know you were natively from uttarakhand. I live in uttarakhand as well. Hope you visit again soon.
P.s: I'm from kumaun region
Can you please make a video on all the vehicles you currently own and have owned in the past?
It will be a very boring video. I've owned a number of cars - mostly Hyundai and Toyota.
Lets go here sometime on our bikes. Will be fun..a couple of days ride.
Also more motorcycle videos please.!
Take out 3 days.
My god how many vehicles do you own, abhinav
Not enough 😭
@@abhinavbhatt yeah man, you can't say 'enough' when it comes to bikes/cars when you're a car/bike guy
Beautiful road to drive... ❤️❤️
When r the coupes coming out 😜
went to kelowna with friends in infinity QX80. realized what v8 power is on steep incline.
I need a V8 too!
@@abhinavbhatt yea since petrol is reasonably priced, a fat v8 would be appropriate 😁
Hahahaha
@@NMJ01 American SRT8 HEMI engine is just as good as v6 if not v4 cuz only 4 cylinders work unless it needs power or u r gunning it. talking about GM Yukon.
A change in camera angle (I know more editing) would have been nice. 🙌🏽 maybe some B-rolls 🙌🏽
Better than the current gen.
Engine is better, but everything else is better in the current gen.
@@GirishKumarBhat just features, the build quality is definitely degraded.
The new creta looks weird bro. I don't know but it just looks ugly compared to the previous generation. The gen 1 creta looked elegant and was an elegant car especially looked killer in black color.
No hill hold in this variant?
How much mileage do you get ? Mine is giving 8- 9 in city. And 13 on highway.
9.5-11 in the city. Maybe 13-14 max on the highway
Hi your suggestion would be highly appreciated, I am in a dilema about selling one of my car. I have an 120 diesel and a creta 1.6 petrol AT. My monthly distance would be less than 1000 most of the times except when i go on trips. i20 has a fuel efficiency of 18 to 20 and Creta like i mentioned would be max 13 oh highway.
Look at the steering feedback man, it's pathetic! That's why they call it a boat!
Haha. Yeah, I hate the Creta for this reason only. Light steering, soft suspension.
@@abhinavbhatt hey, just curious, have you had to replace your EPS motor or assembly on your Creta in the duration you've owned it??
I ask because I own a 2014 Fluidic Verna (1.6 CRDI) and the steering wheel has started to vibrate a bit at slow speeds and the SVC recommend I change the EPS motor and assembly and quoted me ~35k for the job. I'm flabbergasted because it is a very low mileage car (25k kilometres in 8 years) and it is looked after very well by me and my father. So wanted to know if this was a common issue with Hyundai cars.
@@sinuslebastian6366 no. Nothing like it. I had the 1.6 Diesel Fluidic Verna too. 2013 or 14. No such issues in that either.
Yeah that looks bad, my ecosport has an okay feedback tbh. Definitely better than this lmao. But no mileage 🥲
