I also just used this guide to upgrade the RAM on my 255 G3. Build seems almost identical and was able to follow without any issues. Many thanks! hugely helpful video.
@@info4424 in that model the processor don't need a fan to cool down, because it designed to not get hot. it cools just by the heatsink, and you cant put a fan to that motherboard. if you want to add fan then you should change the motherboard with the i3 motherboard and that will be expensive. so if your laptop is old and get very hot not like normal, try to just change the thermal paste and it will be like new, and try to add an ssd.
@@simoeqr1113 actually at the same day i asked you before your reply, i could make fit the fan (when i saw there is no fan, i tought it was stolen by the service and i bought a fan with that copper metal thing ) but there is no place to put in the power jack of fan on the motherboard. :/ thanks for the reply.
Well, thanks for the video, because it's not so obviously very clear how to disassemble this model, to be able upgrade. (my is based on Pentium n3540). I have bought it recently for very little money, and in first place I have decided to upgrade it. In first term, goes for RAM upgrade up to 8GB and of course there is no more place for HDD in my computers anymore (as main system storage), even for this one super cheap notebook I DEMAND SSD. My big surprise was, that IT HAS NOT active cooling at all. I have bought similar model on celeron based processor (same series!) in 2014 october for my friend, and IT HAS build an active cooling system for sure! And now I just see thin aluminium metal frame, just simply "glued" to CPU chip. The whole construction is very, very simplified. It's very similar to Atom CPU series construction philosophy and reminds me just..... bigger version of tablet. On the mother board, there is only one (main) silicon stone present! All things are integrated in "CPU" unit, ALL!!!. Outstanding, how miniaturisation and unification is progressing. This video instructions is very well made, and well understandable. BIG THANKS FOR UPLOADING!
Hello i'd like to ask you maybe you know i had read but found nothing. What model laptop hp 250g3 is fanless and with windows 8.I had read that models with intel celeron n2830 are fanless.Model may not matter might need appropriiate mother board.
Alessandro Rimoldi This laptop chassis appears to be identical to the HP255 G3 I work on from time to time. So, yes, you have to remove all the screws on the back. If you follow the process in the video, you will get to the hard drive and be able to remove it. Although the disassembly looks daunting removing the whole back, it is one of the easier layouts to work with. Just follow the video.
+TRO LINU i don't shure that i understand you right, but i answer according to repacing GPU. There is no way to replace NVidia\ATI GPU. Intergrated to CPU other replacing with CPU, but as I know Inlel HD intergrated GPU is same in CPU generations, so it won't help much.
Tehno Prosto This appears to be an identical chassis to the HP 255 G3 style used here at my work. I just wanted others to be able to find this video if they have a 255 instead of a 250 as is given in the video title. So, I don't know if it is all models, but I know about the HP 255 G3.
