I was a little older with her and had a guy that supported me and took great care of me and my children. I got beside myself and thought that I could do better. I felt like he didn’t have enough.” ambition.” or his own goals and dreams here I am 20 years later and although I don’t want to be with him and it’s not possible to be with him I still regret that I made that decision that I made. I understand why I made it at the time and I thought at the time but now looking back, that’s such a silly reason to leave a person alone. She has decided she’s too good for him. I'm highly educated. Truck drivers can make 6 figures. He can become a truck owner and make multiple 6 figures. If he has more than one truck with driver on the road hec can make millions. I had to learn this as a highly educated individual, who came out of college making 6 figures but a friend spent the same 4 years building a million dollar trucking business.

I am in my late 40s. I married a man who was "less educated " but brilliant with his hands and formal education was not his thing. He read books consistently and had a Malcolm X energy. Long story short my family thought the same way. I didn't listen and glad because I would've missed out on a beautiful marriage and a having awesome children. I have a friend with this same mentality with the degrees but no husband, children but has the degrees. Now at 49 she wants marriage. Nothing is wrong with that path just accept the choices you make without regret.

Unpopular opinion, as an educated man, I understand her underlined frustrations. She’s slowly outgrowing him the more educated she becomes. There’s nothing wrong with her dude besides the fact that he’s not educated beyond that of high school. When you go through college and then grad school, those experiences change how how you both view and value yourself, others, and the world as a whole. Her needs are changing and she should cut her losses now and try and find someone in her field. I can tell you, I couldn’t date someone who’s not educated. This is especially true if we’re both POC. Our entire outlook on life will be different. That includes our dreams, fears, and end game. He seems like a nice guy and he’ll find himself a good woman elsewhere.

This episode made me sad. I have multiple degrees and believe in education wholeheartedly, BUT I have never considered anyone to be beneath me. ALL honest work has value. This had a very "elitist" tone to it that I didn't care for at all.

I was a little older with her and had a guy that supported me and took great care of me and my children. I got beside myself and thought that I could do better. I felt like he didn’t have enough.” ambition.” or his own goals and dreams here I am 20 years later and although I don’t want to be with him and it’s not possible to be with him I still regret that I made that decision that I made. I understand why I made it at the time and I thought at the time but now looking back, that’s such a silly reason to leave a person alone. She has decided she’s too good for him. I would rather have a truck driver that loves me to the end of the earth and admires me then a Doctor Who doesn’t do the same. Of course, life is about choices and she can do whatever she wants but I think a big part of her influence of her family and her idea of what proper goals are will separate them.
I'm highly educated. Truck drivers can make 6 figures. He can become a truck owner and make multiple 6 figures. If he has more than one truck with driver on the road hec can make millions. I had to learn this as a highly educated individual, who came out of college making 6 figures but a friend spent the same 4 years building a million dollar trucking business.

The chick is going to regret this down the road when she realises that chasing for more and more will soon become exhausting if she doesn’t define what is “enough”. Not only that, but happiness is worth more than blind ambition. I am in my late 40s. I married a man who was "less educated " but brilliant with his hands and formal education was not his thing. He read books consistently and had a Malcolm X energy. Long story short my family thought the same way. I didn't listen and glad because I would've missed out on a beautiful marriage and a having awesome children. I have a friend with this same mentality with the degrees but no husband, children but has the degrees. Now at 49 she wants marriage. Nothing is wrong with that path just accept the choices you make without regret.

Unpopular opinion, as an educated man, I understand her underlined frustrations. She’s slowly outgrowing him the more educated she becomes. There’s nothing wrong with her dude besides the fact that he’s not educated beyond that of high school. When you go through college and then grad school, those experiences change how how you both view and value yourself, others, and the world as a whole. Her needs are changing and she should cut her losses now and try and find someone in her field. I can tell you, I couldn’t date someone who’s not educated. This is especially true if we’re both POC. Our entire outlook on life will be different. That includes our dreams, fears, and end game. He seems like a nice guy and he’ll find himself a good woman elsewhere.
