I like this style of content. I found it pretty interesting going through the steam page and looking at the dev's history and all that. Going through what the game has to offer as well. It's not like a list video (there's a lot of those with "upcoming games") but it's almost like a discussion and a tiny deep dive. I like this style of content and would like to see more like this! Hopefully you're able to get through those games somewhat soon.
We need more games that uses Gambit system. Kinda crazy how barely anyone uses it. Most noticeable one, is Dragon Age, Disgaea 6, Silarim Ultimate, Tyranny, Pillars of Eternity and this game. That's about it.
It's not for me unfortunately. It's highly unlikely I play a gacha again aside from logging into FFBE once and awhile to look at my sprites and do some story
It's promising but i'll pass mainly for the sprite but i hope they do well. For unicorn overlord try putting lowest HP% on your skills its usefulness is almost universal and units that seem like a front class fighter in other games can work in the backrow in this game, keep mixing compositions a lot of stuff just works in unicorn overlord
gambit system wasn't bad. it gave you control over your AI party members, i liked it. they also copied license board, which is just a fancy name for a sphere grid. it's not really my cup of tea. i didn't like the fact that you couldnt tell which part of the board you were going into.
"Inspired" 😂 I do think FFXII's combat system is very underrated. Parasite Eve still has my favorite jrpg combat system. Transitor kinda mimicked that system too.
@mysidia The cutscenes are batshit insane, but the gameplay is very solid. You basically have to balance using hero actions that allow your character to run in a straight line while firing their gun at the enemy. You can knock them into the air and try to keep them up or jump above them and shoot them down for extra damage. There's a lot of trying to figure out where is best to end your run, and if you run out of hero actions, you go into a critical state. You also lose hero actions if the enemy breaks a character's shield. While in critical state, the enemy can damage your HP and your characters are less effective. You have to get a kill or break a body part to gain hero actions back.
What do YOU think? Promising or pass?

Thanks weepingblade! Maybe I'll look at doing more of this style 😁.
Looks really interesting but I'll have to wait and see. Cool concept.
100%
Damn, hearing Moment of Recall is so nostalgic, especially when Gumi is slowly giving up on FFBE
Excited for the FFXII inspo indie too
Its one of the best FF songs period! Love using it for videos

Agreed! I haven't heard of Silarim Ultimate, I'll need to look into it
@@mysidia That game's learning curve is pretty wild.
Good. We need more of this classic inspired RPGs. I'm tired of all games being aRPG.
Agreed!
Is there a small chance you'd try Brown Dust 2? Or is it too lewd? ^_^"

Yeah its maybe a little more than just inspired hahah. I remember playing Parasite Eve as a child and being very scared. What a cool game though!
@@mysidia have you ever played Resonance of Fate? It also has a unique combat system. It's a turn based tactical jrpg.
@@ChannelRaznoff Ive heard of it but haven't played it!
