Grammys launch inclusion task force to tackle diversity in music industry

- Super Bowl performers Maroon 5 are among the latest artists to team up with the Grammys to try to end gender inequality in the music industry. More than 200 managers, labels and artists, including Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett and Katy Perry, are joining the new Producer and Engineer Inclusion Initiative. It will work to increase opportunities for women in these fields. The push for diversity will also include people of color and the LGBTQ community. Tina Tchen, chair of the Recording Academy Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion, spoke to “CBS This Morning” about the importance of diversity leading up to Sunday’s Grammys.

"diversity" never means Diverse in "thought" to liberals. Just color and gender.
S C no diversity is 2 + 2 =... well wait, do those numbers want to be 2s? Do they even feel like they are numbers? The answer doesn’t matter as much as how the “numbers” feel getting there.
Well there were previous years at the grammys in which more women received awards than men. And nobody whined about it.
You can't have a balanced outcome every year. Get a life! People are to be awarded based on their talents and merit, not merely by gender or race.

I’m a Latina woman and I’m sick and tired of hearing about “diversity.” I don’t need to see people who look like me in media. If you’re the kind of person who needs to see people like you to feel good about yourself, then you are a child and need to grow up!!

What about overweight, unattractive, or older musicians? Why only focus on gender inequality? Isn't it a bit....convenient...that all popular musicians happen to be young and attractive all the time? Their talent is their music. Music is not visual. It's auditory. So where are all those amazing unattractive singers? Why aren't they getting promoted? You should probably take a look into that. Stop cherry-picking your oppression.

The best person should win plain and simple. Also diversity is more than just what is portrayed on the outside, what about diversity of thought. Are we going to let more ideas and beliefs come to the grammys this year, or will it continue to be virtue signaling and the rich singers patting one another on the back for hating the president.
