Factions! Politics! Wonderful stuff. I had a few factions in my home setting fight one another for power, one of the recent examples would be the crime organizations in the capital. There is a war going under the city, and the PCs encounter the consequences of these events. More recently, the party intervened and eradicated one of the criminal sects known as the "Peacekeepers", a criminal group that made a fortune by charging protection. Their demise created new opportunities for the other criminal organizations, and the mob wars became even worse. With all that going on, the city watch and the seekers (who were perfectly content to stay out of this conflict) have to act, because now there are civilian casualties in the streets. It seems that the Peacekeepers did something to keep the "peace" after all.
So i just what to tell the greatest session i have ever had. The plot was based on Star Wars:Phantom Menace. I had made a Order of Religious Knights that basically vow to protect a royal senate and the king. However the BBEG(A corporate CEO aka me) had convinced the party(who know had a mercenary army supported by said BEGG) that the knights and the senate were planning a coup against the king to install a religious dictatorship. The players decided to purge the senate and the knights. After that was done i made my big reveal, the players were scattered with small detachments of their army after a battle. The BEGG has now installed a Corporate military oligarchy and i am extremely excited for the next sessions. HAHA
@@IcarusGames It feels like... transition music? It's a little too hype for the topic. Maybe it just doesn't match the tone and pace of the advice you're giving? I'm hardly an expert - I just found it distracting.
That's the one! Awesome piece of software. It's legacy now so I'm not sure you can pick it up, but Serif has a whole suite of designer apps that are pretty well reviewed that would be worth checking out.
These gov and political tips are great for any campaign, in the back ground or the foreground!
Thanks, Bob!
I swear man, you do videos on such unique topics that are about things I’m less familiar with! SO USEFUL!
I'm glad you think so, dude!

Yes! That's awesome. I love it when the players take action and then the consequences are not what they expected.

Glad you enjoyed. A couple people have mentioned the music, I'll make sure to bring it down for the next video!
Good stuff, thanks!
I think your background music is too up-tempo.
Glad you found it useful.
Too up tempo for this specific topic or in general? Why don't you like it being up-tempo?

Which program did you use to make your mind map?
PagePlus X8 from Serif.
