Even for non-dancers like myself get inspired to move like him and want to dance more. He's always pushing himself to be unique and constantly reinventing his style.
Oh dang, moudzy still had them Slim clips from Otis' stream. Those did a lot to get me back into dance. No idea who it was that though Slim was cocky. He never bought into the whole machismo thing even when it was the popular thing to do.
The mfs that don't be looking at other dancers to learn are the same mfs that don't be improving fast, slim is one of THE blueprints for dance and that's truth
Nah its about mastering the basics, and having such a strong foundation that you connect your craft to the fibers of your being. Biting off of others style is just surface lvl. Inspiration is good but thats why no one is original now
@@GoldKunai I mean I'm jus talking study wise for after getting a proper foundation to work from not as a means to copy from like more as one of the blueprints for if you want to reach a higher level in dance at a possibly more effectient pace cause he is very open about his training methods same with jaya and other dancers at high levels.

Thank you metal. For some reason, this video felt more personal than usual, like you invited us into your world, to have a glimpse into the process that you went through. The difficulties you faced, the doubts, the hard work, everything. Like I cant imagine dancing and training next to slim with my current understanding of dance, I would feel so lost all the time 😂. I would probably feel retarded or smthg, moving like a stick besides him
We all have dancers that we look up to and yet most of us keep them far away. To me, this video makes an important statement : leave this position of admiration and actually study the dancers that inspire you, and not only on a surface level.
The only thing thats left is the guidance! (Maybe a topic for another video?) Tabo guided you so that you could finally understand what slim had provided you for all of these years. So maybe now the palace can become part of that guidance for all of us?

Slim Boogie really is a genius at highlighting sooo many aspects of the track. I really appreciate his patience in building his rounds, difference in rhythm and can do it without all the fancy moves even though he has those too, but doesn't abuse them to the point of being predictable. One of a kind

Slim never stood still. But he also had a base before getting into popping. Seems like there's something about starting with popping that makes a whole bunch of people (not everybody) plateau at some point. It sure did happen to me.
