  • A film about the construction of what is currently the largest straw-insulated building in southern Germany. The three-story multi-purpose building in the Bavarian monastery of Plankstetten houses a kindergarten, the parish office and 30 guest rooms.
The film shows why and how the monks of the Benedictine abbey built with their own wood and straw and presents the building project as well as the advantages of straw construction with impressive pictures and interesting facts.
The construction as well as the film was supported by the Interreg project UP STRAW.
The aim of the project is to increase the use of straw in public construction.
