My Edifier W830BT headphones lasted little over 2 weeks (got them from the AliExpress Edifier store), now they won't connect to any Bluetooth device for longer than 5 seconds. Never dropped them or anything, they just suddenly disconnected during playing music and goodbye. Even fully charged they just disconnect and blink red-blue as if in pairing mode. Un-pairing and factory reset didn't do anything, strangely the AUX wired mode works perfectly fine so I still can use them as wired headphones. I messaged (multiple times) both the tech support on the Edifier website and the store on AliExpress asking for some tips or help, but they plain ignored them, so I got no support from Edifier. Consider this as a warning from my experience, Edifier tech support is probably nonexistent, so buy them from a place where you can easily return them.

HELP! I bought a pair of W830BTs based on this and other glowing reviews and my pair sounds absolutely terrible. I'm no audiophile, but the sound is very muddy and just no good at all, compared to pretty much any other pair of headphones. Am I missing something? Is there any way to get better sound out of them?
Hi Max, it sounds to me like they are faulty, the audio quality on the set I have is way better than those of a similar price. I certainly wouldn't describe my set as muddy. Not sure there's rip offs of Edifier headphones out there, like there are with some other more popular brands, but perhaps you have a set that are reproductions, or maybe they are genuine ones that have something wrong with them, either way I'd definitely return them.
@@GadgetViper Thanks for the reply! They certainly don't look or feel like a knockoff but I don't really know. My guess is they're probably just faulty, but unfortunately I've waited too long to look into this and now it's too late to return them.

Thanks for the review, friend! One thing that I think is cool for these headphones is that the padding on the ear cups has genuine leather, at least that's what it says on the website.
Hi from Spain! Thanks for the review. I usually listen to Rock and Metal music. How do they behave with those styles? Drums, guitars and voices. Thanks.
Thanks for a great review! 95 hours battery life sounds pretty damn impressive and if they sound good as well im probably switching my Bluedio T4S to these.

Hi, want to ask how this headphone while doing outgoing call connected to mobile phone? Do opposite person can hear us clearly without background noise?
When I got these 6 months ago, I asked everybody how the call sounded, especially in a car, and compared talking on the phone or using the headphones. Most said there was a slight difference, but that the headphones sounded good.
IzunaGaiden awesome, I hope you like them as much as I do, please let me know what you think of it. Also you should take a look at my website review, (links in the description) there's a little niggle I found when turning it off, if you don't keep your finger on for at least 3 seconds, it will dial the last number called instead of powering off. It doesn't happen to me anymore since I became mindful of waiting until I hear the audio power down tone. Anyway, thanks for watching :)
Finally the headphones arrived and I was able to test them properly. They are simply amazing, beautifully constructed, comfortable, and with unbelievable battery life. The sound quality is respectable too, providing a full-bodied and detailed sound, with well-defined bass, mid and treble. Oh, and thanks for advice about pressing for at least 3 seconds when powering down, this can avoid problems. Thank you for the video. Great description and reaction, plus a competent explanation about the product. Thank you, my friend ... from Brazil.
I'm wearing them now while using my PC, I'd say the leakage is low, they are closed with relatively small breather holes at the tops that are actually covered by the pivoting part of the headband. You could probably have them up at around 60-70% and not bother people close by. Hope that helps
I have these for casual listening. I'm afraid that the sound quality is just average. But for the money that you could pay (around £60) they are not bad. If you want a better listening experience then you have to fork out more. These are more more comfortable than the ATH-M50 which is a popular budget headphone
@@cukedaddy even when wired they are average. I ended up sending them back and got a pair of Sephia SX16's which are less than half the price and sound perfectly fine. Disappointed with Edifier as I have a pair of Luna HD speakers from them which sound great

Like i have hyperx cloud 2 which was originally bought for gaming but kinda stopped doing it and now i watch movies and listen to music, but want something without wires who always tangles themselves
OppaiGee They are super comfy, so I'd happily wear them for movies and for the PC. I've got this gadgetviper.com/creative-bt-w2-usb-bluetooth-adapter-pc/ so I can use any BT headset with my PC. I'll plug it in today.
Ty! as a new guy to these things didnt knew there was such a adapter, besides the standard cheap one.
Please tell me about the sound quality, when comparing between JBL Tune 600BTNC and Edifier W830BT?!
I loved your video!!! I just ordered these....
Is it scratches near the 3.5 mm jack and volume buttons? And was it from the box?
Hi, I just looked closely at them, they appear to be lines from the tooling rather than scratches. It looks almost as if they are separate sections of the housing, but I don't think they are. They are hardly noticeable unless you have them under bright lights. Hope that helps.
U like them I get it, u can read I get it. But you didn't focus on the sound quality. They look good but I'm not sure if they have ANC
No ANC, but there is another version (I also have them) that does have ANC, but the battery isn't as good, the model is called WB50NB. They sound great
Have you tried bluedio T4s? i cant deciede between those 2 :(
Hi, Sorry for the late reply, I haven't had a chance to try the Bluedio T4's but I'd probably choose the Edifiers for comfort (the circular earcups on the Bluedio's don't appeal to me) I guess if active noise cancelling is a big feature you're looking for, then the Bluedio's might be a better option for you.
Bluedio's customer service is anything but. Had a serious issue with the product. I sent numerous emails to try and get it resolved and I never got a single reply.so then I tried calling customer service and couldn't get an actual person on the line.. Fuck Bluedio!!
That was wonderful, thank you
Ive seen a couple videos showing the earfoam get damages overtime. Do u experience these now?
Does it have a MIC jack? Or any 3.5mm jack? Can it be used for a modmic?
+HydroBandit no mic jack, just a 3.5mm audio in. You could probably use a splitter and plug a mic into that. I can use an external microphone with this gadgetviper.com/creative-e1-portable-headphone-amp-review/
I’ve been searching for days on which Bluetooth headphones i wanted to buy and I saw these before but you’re the only one that sold me on it. Thanks man.
Hey I know your comment is old but how are they holding up?
do u wear it to the gym???
Great review there. Can you do a comparison with JBL T450BT?
We have good bass is lounder sound?
You need more subs
Thanks friend!
I have it. Very good battery . Soooooo long life. Since i buy on jan 19. Till now on jul never charge it back. Still in high level. I use it some time.
I’ve just got mine yesterday from aliexpress, but i found out that if im wearing them and listening to music people around me can easily hear what im listening to, i also think that we can even hear phone communication. Is there any solution to fix this or not
Can you connect this to a dac?
Thanks for the review, friend! One thing that I think is cool for these headphones is that the padding on the ear cups has genuine leather, at least that's what it says on the website.
Hi from Spain! Thanks for the review.
I usually listen to Rock and Metal music. How do they behave with those styles? Drums, guitars and voices. Thanks.
I recommend to go Marshall if you are rock and metal fan.
Does the mic still work when wired? Was thinking of using it for voice chat on my console
Do you have problems with the bluetooth connection? I have a lot of interruption while i playing.
I've never had a Bluetooth problem in 6 months...
As far as sound quality goes which is better? This one or Bluedio UFO 2??
Ufo 2 is more bass heavy and less build quality
Was torn between the Sound Intone F9 (slightly cheaper) and this Edifier. I think this review just helped me decide. I’m definitely getting these.
This vs the soundcore q20?
On cable, did u notice left side louder then right??
How long is the charching time?
4 hours
Even with a 15 mins charge, you can use for more than 1 hour... the battery is just awesome.
Cool review. Thanks.
Thanks for a great review! 95 hours battery life sounds pretty damn impressive and if they sound good as well im probably switching my Bluedio T4S to these.
Markolav do u think this is better than the t2s ?
shura hane Probably a lot better.
Markolav ty for replying,i had quite a time choosing this or t2s, your answer strengthen my decision to get the w830bt
shura hane t2s is all about the bass.
This is old now. I can get here in Bangkok for about $59.00 and looks like i am going to get it. I have a few but very uncomfortable and
Fidelity on one is terrible. This is not Bluetooth 5.0 but is still a great buy. So I will order soon.
Thank you. Just got one.
IzunaGaiden I'm so pleased you like them, and thank you for your kind comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know your opinion
Just bought it today. Didnt know had to charge it first. Comfy earcup. 1 day delivery. Gonna test it tonight
I just ordered this for US$52, including shipping. I live in Asia Pacific.
how about the bass is it good ?
The bass is excelent, heavy and deep, but does not overwhelm mids and highs
What can you say about the sound leakage with this headphones???
I'm wearing them now while using my PC, I'd say the leakage is low, they are closed with relatively small breather holes at the tops that are actually covered by the pivoting part of the headband. You could probably have them up at around 60-70% and not bother people close by. Hope that helps
It helps a lot. Thanks. I hope i can purchase one anytime soon.
I have these for casual listening. I'm afraid that the sound quality is just average. But for the money that you could pay (around £60) they are not bad. If you want a better listening experience then you have to fork out more. These are more more comfortable than the ATH-M50 which is a popular budget headphone
Real hard to get great sound quality over bluetooth...at twice as much money even.
@@cukedaddy even when wired they are average. I ended up sending them back and got a pair of Sephia SX16's which are less than half the price and sound perfectly fine. Disappointed with Edifier as I have a pair of Luna HD speakers from them which sound great
Edifier w830bt or bluedio f2?
WEll Choose Edifier Already aptx support
Great review, subbed.. you deserved more dude
EternalFunction86 Thanks! Have a great evening :)
w830bt or w820bt?
Thanks for this review!
You're welcome, have a great day!
Does it comes with anc feature?
This one doesn't have ANC, but there is a version that does that's almost identical, he is a link to my review of it gadgetviper.com/edifier-w860nb-headphones-review/
