Thank you Grace, Dale, Ruby, Charlie, Debbie and Dennis for this inspiring, joyfull, educational episode about hearing and Deaf people as one community. It was interesting and enlightening to hear Grace's view of Cochlear implants and her views of how both sign and implants contributed to who she is today. Grace was very fortunate to have such great parents as Debbie and Dennish who threw themselves into learning sign and about Deaf culture. Sadly many parents with a Deaf child place learning sign etc. into the too hard basket.
Grace is not just a loving mother who knows what's best for her kids, but also a very intelligent, multi-talented and hard working person. She deserve an honorary excellence award for beating the boundaries between normal speaking community and the deaf community. Well done girl!
Wow, so educational!!! Thank you for everyone that made this video happen. I took ASL in college, but would love to pickup again once i get my hand fixed.

Any reason the mother won't talk to her children with CI? I mean isn't that point of the implants, exposing them to sound and hopefully learning to speak and listen?

Question though: How is it not a conflict of interest to teach your own child? But hey whatever works!
