I have all of my chests(10 double chests) and hoppers(8 hoppers) filled with irons of 64 stack, this farm is super simple and compact to build, so much that it's wasting iron at the moment now. Really recommend this build, but I used zombies as my catalyst so it depends if yall going to use it, I recommend doing this because it produces iron at a faster rate and even at night time. The rate of iron production is very high considering the size of this farm. Edit: I built this iron farm twice, one in the nether update and the other in version 1.18.2. Unfortunately the Iron Golem doesn’t seem to be appearing for me. I have the 5 villagers in place but one always fails to go to sleep at night. The unused bed varies so it doesn’t appear to be an issue with the bed. Any suggestions on how to fix would be massively appreciated 👍 *Edit* Thanks for all of your help and suggestions. I was able to get it working again after breaking and then replacing all of the beds.
Sorry if this reply gets your hopes up. I’m having the same problem so I’m just trying to push this comment up and get it noticed so we can get an answer.
For Ig's spawning on the ground, try to remove as much as block as possible. Since I put the afk pod below the farm, I just put torches around the top of each empty block ( nothing above it) and it worked. Some of my Ig's spawn a few blocks away, so I expanded the room of where the golem will spawn with 9x9 sides. Basically removed open blocks, and expanded room. hope it helps!
@@Gossgaming36012 I have no idea where the slab-Idea comes from since the Wiki literally states: "This means the iron golem can spawn inside 1-deep water or inside blocks like slabs, fences, and carpets (if other checks pass)." Use (active) Redstone for blocking golems
I remember the old school iron farms that took an hour to build and you got like half a stack of iron an hour from them. This is an easier farm to build and yields like 150-200 iron an hour (or half that if you aren't sleeping). I was scared iron farms would be removed from the game, but now they're almost too OP. Who needs an Iron Titan these days?
IMHO they're not too OP. Most survival games have this progression where, after reaching a certain milestone, old issues become irrelevant. Like in Subnautica Oxygen becomes less and less of an issue. And eventually Water is "for free" as well. With the Iron Farm Minecraft also has such a progression, as Iron as a mid-tier crafting material is basically free once you build one. You still want Diamond/Netherite gear for late-game activities, so the farm is not OP, you're just at the next "stage" now.
Me too did you ever figure it out. I’ve tried it in 2 different worlds. 1 away from a village. One beside it. I can’t get any iron golem farm to work. I follow it step by step too
Tip: build it at least 16 blocka from the ground and dont put any structures in 24 blocks radius. It must be at least 128 blocks from any other villagers.
i think it only counts beds nowadays. so as long as you have no villagers or beds in range it should be good. hell id build it underground at y5 that way if i get random spawns in caves ill have friends when caving around
It’s fine being by other villagers, just need to be high enough so the golems only spawn on the intended platform. I think the stated 24 blocks is the correct height.
@@tylermasiello it depends but it will just take minutes, as long as you give them enough or so much food, they will continue to breed if you have more beds. And don't watch them breed, they will just breed on their own after you see hearts appearing.
for better results , you can get a zombie easily in farm. on the 8th upward block , pick any side , leave one block and place a boat , get in a zombie and break 3 glass block of 2nd layer . REMEMBER - place 2 slabs above zombie so he won't die from sun , also place 2 torches on slabs . Like if found this useful

Unfortunately the Iron Golem doesn’t seem to be appearing for me. I have the 5 villagers in place but one always fails to go to sleep at night. The unused bed varies so it doesn’t appear to be an issue with the bed. Any suggestions on how to fix would be massively appreciated 👍
*Edit* Thanks for all of your help and suggestions. I was able to get it working again after breaking and then replacing all of the beds.
Sorry if this reply gets your hopes up. I’m having the same problem so I’m just trying to push this comment up and get it noticed so we can get an answer.
I hope he can read your comment
Same as me haih
Uhhh I heard some where that you have to change the side of the bed with the problem basically
If it’s facing here:
break all the beds from the village
love that you keep improving this man, keep it up
Yesss 2nd Tanjiro found!
This really helped for my new survival world you earned a sub!
Hey yo, @voltrox does this need to be built above ground? I'm on a peaceful world and the golems aren't spawning.
Not spawning for me either
Same
For Ig's spawning on the ground, try to remove as much as block as possible. Since I put the afk pod below the farm, I just put torches around the top of each empty block ( nothing above it) and it worked. Some of my Ig's spawn a few blocks away, so I expanded the room of where the golem will spawn with 9x9 sides. Basically removed open blocks, and expanded room.
hope it helps!
wdym by open blocks
@@hasnainali9295 an area outside of where the golem might spawn. The golem must only spawn inside so it must be removed.
Would it help if you put slabs down in a big area beneath the farm ?
@@Gossgaming36012 I don't think so, I used torches and it worked. I also put it infront of the chest.
Who needs an Iron Titan these days?
i know
IMHO they're not too OP.
@@Hobbamok or when you get the gun that freezes fish and then you go to the mountains to get diamonds because you’re not scared of the reaper anymore
I thought your intro was a perfume advert XD
For some reason no iron golems are spawning I built it next to a village and do I need to unload the chunk?
Me too did you ever figure it out. I’ve tried it in 2 different worlds. 1 away from a village. One beside it. I can’t get any iron golem farm to work. I follow it step by step too
Tip: build it at least 16 blocka from the ground and dont put any structures in 24 blocks radius. It must be at least 128 blocks from any other villagers.
I just made it and now u tell me I have a village right next to me if I dispose of the villagers in the village will it work ?
Why?
Bro should it be 128 blocks from a trading hall-breeder too?
i think it only counts beds nowadays. so as long as you have no villagers or beds in range it should be good. hell id build it underground at y5 that way if i get random spawns in caves ill have friends when caving around
It’s fine being by other villagers, just need to be high enough so the golems only spawn on the intended platform. I think the stated 24 blocks is the correct height.
I really like that the tutorial is synced with the rhythm of the song
That incredible editting is very much appreciated, good sir!
Great Farm been using it since years still works on Java 1.20.6
Thanks for info, about to build one

@@tylermasiello it depends but it will just take minutes, as long as you give them enough or so much food, they will continue to breed if you have more beds. And don't watch them breed, they will just breed on their own after you see hearts appearing.

@@mclarin-9332 does it work on bedrock?
@@notisean5863 not sure but maybe. Try it
@@mclarin-9332 i think someone said that it dosent work in the latest version. Rip
for better results , you can get a zombie easily in farm.
on the 8th upward block , pick any side , leave one block and place a boat , get in a zombie and break 3 glass block of 2nd layer .
REMEMBER - place 2 slabs above zombie so he won't die from sun , also place 2 torches on slabs .
Like if found this useful
It's a nice design, perfect for me who doesnt need a lot of iron since most of it will be used for small details like lanterns and rails
Wouldn't you need some for mining in the beginning stage?
@@Meimoons well, yes and no, if you use 3 iron for a pickaxe (and iron is easy to find) and find diamonds can you skip iron armour if you have enough. But it's still always nice to use for armour. All up to the person making the farm :)
I also found out that this design is for Java and not bedrock :( but still a nice design
how many of these can i build in each others' vicinity without affecting the rates?
1
I think they need to be spaced out at least 16 blocks from each other
@@4te-9i think 128 lol
@@pre-d it’s 16 blocks away from each other at least as iron golems spawn within 7 blocks below / 6 blocks above a villager, as well as a ‘box’, 16 blocks in the X and Z direction
@@4te-9 i believe it’s 52 as the is the distance required to make a new village so you could have 2 modules pulling of the same source, but that would make each one more inefficient
to all the guys starting, this build requires the least amount of initial investment. it usually takes around 1 stack of iron as initial investment, but the return will be double after around 3-5 Minecraft days. so, totally worth it.
Why do you need a stack of iron to build it?
@@goldhover409 it doesnt. hes just a bit odd
@@beepboop7769 thanks
Great vid but if you place slabs in a 16x16 formation around the pillar it will be 2x as good + no mobs and iron golems spawn there
The farm is in the sky so that's not necessary!
@@Voltrox well for me they were spawning on the floor but that may be because I’m in 1.19.4
