Stained, brutal calamity is an absolute masterpiece of game music, because it contains both lyrics that describe not only the battle, but also emotions and feelings of both the player and the boss, as well as instrumental performance of different styles that the composer perfectly combined into a beautiful melody. I sincerely recommend this song for listening.
The cold-open screamer at the beginning was kinda just a community in-joke for the video. It's not in any other version of the soundtrack.
I don't care for it much myself.
Also, if you listen to the rest of the soundtrack, you'll notice the leitmotifs in this song show up earlier on. It's foreshadowing, in a sense.
Theres several other songs that go along with this one, I highly recommend them aswell as "devourer of gods, nonstop mix"
As for an independent track, ROAR OF THE JUNGLE DRAGON, it is peak calamity mod OST *and it has vocals*
i never noticed the vocals in yharons theme somehow, thanks for that lol
i dunno how ive never noticed the lyrics, they play above the music lmao. i guess im just too used to non vocal themes that i never notice vocals anymore
@@comm_gtkinda late but you probably played a while ago when yharon had two phases and had two themes, so probably you just heard 1st one without lyrics and didnt hear somehow roar of the jungle
Vocals in game soundtracks are overrated. You honestly don't need them at all since you won't have time to pay attention to them anyways (Latin choir vocals are a slight exception to this but it's more like a voice melody rather than lyrics). Peak game soundtrack should sound the best when you are playing the game and not when you are listening to it at your own time.
This entire OST is BY FAR my favourite album of any single video game soundtrack. Nearly the entire OST is made by one creator, DM DOKURO and has an incredible leitmotif that culminates in a 12 minute final boss track that combines elements of every single previous boss. I highly recommend listening to Brutal, Stained Calamity and Roar of the Jungle Dragon, the final two songs in the boss progression. Many of the songs from the soundtrack have metal influence and slap harder than anything I've ever heard. I can't recommend this OST enough.
MORE CALAMITY OSTS PLEASE!
Even if this theme is an amazing hype track for the boss. There are others OST inside Calamity mod that are worth checking out. I recommend "Infestation", it being a fan favorite, but I also think you'll like themes like "Blood Coagulant" or "Return to Slime".
You just opened a really good can of worms
Yeah, this is technically not the full track. It's part of a bigger track called "Devourer of Gods Nonstop Mix".
the start is actually a bit of a meme that the composer added supposedly for a very early game mini boss but the actual track starts after that little joke ends. there is a theme before this one that builds to it for phase one of this fight tho
Also, the beginning is just a meme. 😅
Every time i hear the devourer of gods theme i just ascend into heaven
If were doing some calamity now i gotta recommend Interstellar stomper probably my favourite in the OST, Love your analysis so glad your taking a look at some calamity music.
Interstellar stomper is a good choice!
YES
Gotta do Stained, Brutal Calamity now. It has lyrics too.
Yes! This would be great!
i dont even play terraria, i just found this song on my friends playlist and i was questioning where he found such an obscure artist from, but now i know how
Would recommend brutal, stained Calamity
Listening to this song while Devourer of Gods trash talking to you is pure gold
Calamity is such an amazing mod with such a great OST, some are so good. Roar of the Jungle Dragon and Raw, Unfiltered Calamity I also recommend.
Here from VOH Made in abyss and i just realized you do 1 calamity mod 😮, also i recommend doing Luma pools from ori and the will of the wisp 🙏
Roar of the jungle dragon, best song in the calamity mod OST to bang out to
This track is for the third and final phase of the boss, there are two other two other tracks for the boss’s other stages
there are 2 actually
This song is so good that I’ll get Calamity and beat it only to fight that worm while this is playing
Great video! I also recommend you to listen to Roar Of The Jungle Dragon. Its one of the best tracks in this mod if not the best
Universal Collapse is a banger! But....
We need Roar of the Jungle Dragon now,
We need Stained, Brutal Calamity now.
Both are from the Calamity mod, and together, these 3 tracks forms the triforce of this mod's OST....
I really think that if the fanbase find this video, they'll be asking for those, anyway...
Halo 1 takes place on the Halo ring Installation 04 and in Halo 3 you're escaping the unfinished rebuilding of Installation 04 after launching it to fire which in it's unfinished state will make it explode and kill the remaining Flood on the Ark.
So the callbacks to Halo 1 are totally on purpose.
YESSSS
This is part 2 of the boss fight, you should have started by listening to " scourge of the universe".
DM Dokuro is a genius
its mindblowing that no one recommends vinland saga osts it has so many peak osts
Now for stained brutal calamity
Lol I love it! It’s so full on anime-retro game. Awesome! ❤️🔥🔥🔥
One of my favorite songs in Terraria Calamity mod
Bro got jabaited in the beginning
If you liked this, I would absolutely recommend checking out the 'Devourer of Gods nonstop mix'. It's basically all the themes that lead up to this with interlude segments and new and improved segments. It's the best way to experience this track by far.
Other classics would be 'Roar of the Jungle Dragon' and 'Stained, Brutal Calamity'. Roar of the Jungle Dragon is absolutely mindblowing the first time you hear it in-game and 'Stained, Brutal Calamity' is one of the best final boss themes of all time. There are a ton of other absolute bangers in the soundtrack like '1NF3$+@+!0N', 'Blood Coagulant', 'Return to Slime' and more, but the three I mentioned above are the masterpieces that everyone will want to see.
That song is for slap battles killstreak 25 kill
For the last time it was made for terrarias calamity mod over 6 years ago long before SB was even born... i swear SB fans are beginning to test my patience
you shut your filthy pathetic mouth right now
A little bit of a shame that this track is missing the prior context from several tracks that form the suite. But hey, any Calamity OST is a win regardless.
GOD TIER. NO. HIGHLY ABOVE GOD TIER TERRARIA MOD AND SOUNDTRACK.
5:25 very good melee?
Request, you should totally listen to "Never Dying Wishes" from 'Dynasty Warriors 9', best track in the game, and the rest of the DW series has a lot of great bangers
Terraria the once shamed as the downgrade of minecraft. Nostalgic to many but finally entering its redemption arc before covid and skyrocketing in popularity during the mass pandemonium.
This game continues to be the king of sandbox-2d-rpg's sometimes enjoyed with a sidedish of "M O D S"
and of course hes bald, love it
lol now,imagine undertale.it’s definitely good,but calamity?now THATS a different level
Hey, what happened to your Dark Souls 1 and 2 let's pays? I wanted to rewatch them but can't find them.
Hey quick question, where's the dark souls gameplay? Its gone? Or move to different channel? i bookmarked it but only 1 video and private playlist
i never knew terraira had an ost, i always played it with no music on lol. it sounds good
This is actually the soundtrack of MOD for Terraria. (Terraria Calamity Mod, as in the title)
Although, the base game has an amazing OST, too!
I just don't understand how you never knew that it has an OST, when you turned off the music? Like, surely the music volume bar exists with a purpose.
@@Drakonus_ no I just liked terraria without the music, I went into the options to switch it off.
I do this for most games
@@BlueGoyim71 But that contradicts with you saying that you had no idea that the game had an OST. If there was no OST, then the game would have no music for you to turn off since it doesn't exist in the first place.
@@Drakonus_ what are you trying to say
Homeboy pulled up the wrong version of that track he got the screamer
Slap battle have this song to
Have you done any DOOM songs yet?
React onimusha 2 main menu
This music is fire (would be better if there was some lyrics)
Also
1:25
It is not a double bass but a 5 string (got the tabs)
Good to know, thanks!
